Anything is possible, but I don’t see a turn, anytime soon, and so close to Wrestlemania for that matter. Would it be awesome if either Roman Reigns or Dean Ambrose turned? Absolutely! It would even make for a pretty incredible WM 32 main event. But looking at Fastlane, and then looking at the proposed Wrestlemania 32 card (with the main event being Triple H versus Reigns, and Lesnar versus Wyatt); a Shield member turning at this point doesn’t make sense. Still, if a turn would to happen, I would say the best candidate as a heel would be Reigns. Ambrose is well over with the audience, and it would make no sense to slow down his momentum. However, this is the WWE, and the brass seem quite smitten on Reigns being the top guy, so anything is possible.
I don’t know that they will, but I think they absolutely should.
I think if they were going to turn Reigns, they would have by now. Not saying he can’t or won’t ever be a heel again, but not any time soon I think.
And the WrestleMania anticipated card is almost exactly why I say they should. Everyone is banking on Hunter/Reigns and Wyatt/Lesnar. Not a horrible couple matches, but Reigns/Ambrose and Lesnar/Hunter? I think that’s a better card to be booking. I think, if only because people EXPECT Reigns to win, then now is as good a time as any for a major swerve.
I just don’t know that we see an Ambrose turn, or a Reigns turn either. Especially with the injuries, WWE needs the faces they have, and those two are easily among the top babyfaces. So I think they are safe, at least until Summer.
Anything can happen in the WWE, especially when the champion goes down with a devastating injury. The WWE has spent too much money and time in Roman Reigns to try a heel turn. Being a face hasn’t gone the way the company wanted, but they need to make Reigns a star or they would have thrown away years of work and major storylines.
As for Ambrose turning heel, such a storyline has been occurring this entire time. Ambrose almost won the WWE Championship in grand style at Survivor Series and Royal Rumble. He was just edged out by Reigns (and little bit by Triple H). The Authority told Ambrose they thought of him before selecting Seth Rollins. The group can still land Ambrose, who is simply frustrated about doing so great and caring for the fans; yet the title is always out of reach. Maybe, Ambrose sells out to The Authority and a major heel for a generation is created.
