Ask WNZ: Most Anticipated Match Sunday?

With six matches announced (as of Saturday evening), which match are you most looking forward to?

Dorathy Gass:

The Six Pack Challenge with the ladies. I’m hoping to see Becky Lynch walk away with the title, and start shining as the Women’s Champion she was meant to be. Actually, I would be happy with any of the women walking away champ, except for Nikki Bella. I have no issue with Bella, my only problem would be is that she had such a strong run, for so long, and has just returned from an injury. As it is being implied that she will work part-time, I think a good role for her in the near future would be to help push younger female talent. There is a strong potential for Bella to win the championship somewhere down the line … just not now; someone else should be given the privilege of being SmackDown’s first women’s champ. That’s just my two cents.

John Deegan:

I have two, and I’ve been strong on these for a while.

First, I echo Dorathy’s sentiment here. I think the Six Pack Challenge is, shockingly, the premiere match of the night. I think, with six talented ladies going at it, this is a great chance for the women to steal the show. I also agree with Dorathy, that I hope we see the Lass Kicker leave with the gold.

Other than the Six Pack? I am eagerly awaiting the crowning of a new set of tag team champions. It’s not exactly like WWE could have ever expected the fans to get into Slater, or even Rhyno, but the two have definitely been embraced by the fans, so here’s hoping there’s one more win in this Cinderella story.

Joseph Lisnow:

For a change, all the matches seem pay per view worthy. I’m most interested with the Women’s and Tag Team titles being decided. First off, we’re guaranteed to get new champions in both matches and this could be a turning point in someone’s career.

Heath Slater and Rhyno winning would be great for both their careers. For years, Slater has been stuck in a comedic jobber role and the fans have really started to get behind him. Then there’s Rhyno. He’s been (for the most part) absent from WWE TV for over a decade. The two of them winning would bring a huge smile to my face.

The elimination match could end many different ways, which makes it even better. I don’t think it’s time for a NXT wrestler to win. Let Becky Lynch finally have her run with some gold. If Slater, Rhyno and Becky leave with titles then Backlash is on track to at least be memorable for all the good reasons.
