Ask WNZ: Is Charlotte Most Heelish Ever?

After her despicable, (or justified) rant on father Ric recently, it gave us another good question for the week. Specifically, is Charlotte the most heelish woman WWE has ever had?

Dorathy Gass:

Most heelish ever? Maybe not, but she certainly is the most heelish female on the roster currently, and most heelish woman we have seen in a while. I’m probably in the minority when I say I wasn’t too impressed by her promo on Monday Night, while it was happening. But upon reflection, knowing how emotional both her and her dad are: I thought she did okay. She did stumble quite a bit on the mic, but maybe I’m being nit picky. Regardless, she accomplished a lot. She’s not only on her own, but garnered a quite a bit of heat because of giving her dad the boot. The real question is: can Charlotte stand on her own now?

John Deegan:

Even if she might be-and she really might be-it’s too soon in her career for such accolades. And I don’t even know that she’s among the most heelish ever. In the here and now, it’s no question. Her talk down to Ric Flair, her own father? One of the most personal and emotional segments, I’ll tell you that much.

Historically? That’s still out there for her, and it’s possible she eventually becomes number one, but right this very minute, she’s merely at or near the top of the  active heel roster.

Joseph Lisnow:

I don’t know if she’s the most heelish diva in WWE history. She could be in the running, but there have been so many heels over the years; so it’s rather hard to select one person. Charlotte’s promo was on the heel side, but probably has some truth as well. Ric Flair is known for wrestling around the world. He was the champion in his prime and that meant missing holidays and family events. Most of the roster is on the road three weeks out of the month, so Flair had to be gone 28 days of the month. It doesn’t matter where Charlotte ranks as a heel. The importance is how WWE presents her as their first Women’s Champion.

All points made here were pretty spot on.

no offense and I’m not bashing you here but all the points made were already hashed over time and again on tv..we all saw the angle you of course didn’t even need to read this column because being a true fan you knew it all, not one new idea….wouldn’t you much rather have had these folks give options as to who we compare Charlotte with and to as a heel? bite me loser above us gave 3^

that is working under the assumption that it was once great and greatness can not be assessed to anything that has Raven’s name attached to it

What Santa dislikes about Charolette is that on the mic she doing the same mistake that females heels do in the WWE. STOP RAISING YOUR VOICE. Nikki Bella did it, Victoria did it. The only one who got away with it was Vikki Guerrero.

I would like to say.thank you…….and this is a sincere thanks not a sarcastic least you gave 3 others to form an opinion as opposed to the columnist that just spewed out everything we’ve seen since the incident…and one other thing and I could be wrong here but I would assume that for a lady when she raises her voice it does tend more times than not to sounding like least every woman who’s screamed at me sounded like that lol

Trish Stratus had started as a heel and she was calm and collected while managing T&A. No reason why any female needs to shrill like a banshee. My original thought was “No wonder her ex smacked her”.

  • jcice13

well let me ask this..what performers have been considered the top female heels in company history???? I see a lot of blah blah blah but not ONE lady to compare her with and how can anyone make a comparison or assessment without weighing the choices..not intending to be confrontational here, just the opposite, I am asking sincerely.give at least 5 heels and then the true discussion can begin

Paige’s promo mentioning Charlotte’s brother was more heelish than last Monday nights from Charlotte. Michelle McCool was one of the best femal’s at playing heel
