I think it will take a while, but I do see it happening eventually. First and foremost, AJ needs to get his fee wet within the main roster, and some of the other guys are still firming their deals up. From reports I’m reading, Shinsuke Nakamura is at the Performance Center currently, and he will be joining NXT in a little bit; while Karl Anderson and Doc Gallows are being slated to join NXT in March. So, while everyone gets acquainted with WWE protocol, the brand, and how things are done in their squared circle, I don’t anticipant a reunion for at least six months. With New Japan Pro Wrestling owning the rights (currently) to the Bullet Club name, it seems the WWE might be going the Balor Club route (as they have refiled that trademark); so I anticipate that if and when they do reunite, the faction will have a very different name attached to it. But I don’t see that happening for at least six to nine months.
For me, without a ton of first hand knowledge of the group, here’s how I feel. There needs to be a reason, a storyline where their introduction makes some sense. Right now, AJ may or may not have his first feud with The Miz or Chris Jericho. If I am him, I am praying it’s Jericho, but that’s another story.
I think to just have them show up, without a storyline, could be a bad thing. Unless they opt to have them just start attacking people, like The Wyatt Family or Shield, that is. But I don’t think that they will.
In terms of timing? I’d say by next year’s WrestleMania, or slightly before (so, roughly, early 2017). Unless WWE gets truly desperate for ratings boosts, in which case all bets are off. But I wouldn’t be expecting to see a full blown club reunion until next year.
While I see (likely all) members of the Bullet Club reaching the main roster, such a time won’t happen until the summer at the earliest. The only person I see AJ Styles even teaming with is Finn Balor, but the duo doesn’t interest me. Rather, they should have separate-singles careers. Maybe Balor stays in NXT and Styles on the main roster. They would both work for WWE under different banners and broaden their careers. I’d rather see Styles work his own program. It’s taken a long time for Styles to join WWE and I want to see him in mostly singles matches. Hopefully he won’t get shoved on SmackDown each week in a tag match main event. The Bullet Club is a great concept, but it wouldn’t exist in the WWE’s world and I’m okay with that happening.
