Ask WNZ: John Cena Vs. The Club

After RAW, it was the hot topic. John Cena, returning as quickly as he could from his most recent surgery, was greeted by and then attacked by AJ Styles and The Club. So, what do we make of all that?

Dorathy Gass:

It was pretty shocking, and not what I expected at all; which I see as an overall good thing. Was John Cena aware of these plans when he posted a picture on Instagram of a young AJ Styles in January of this year? The WWE Universe thought he was hinting about Styles’ WWE debut (which was really kind of a given at the time), yet maybe, just maybe he was foreshadowing this feud. I think in the end, the heel turn will make AJ Styles, Gallows, and Anderson look overall stronger. I know, I know, people are concerned these three may get buried in the process of this program; but I, do not think that will happen at all. I’m excited to see where all this will lead, and potentially that much more excited that The New Day may get involved in all this, since The Club attacked them earlier on in the evening on the Memorial Day edition of RAW.

John Deegan:

It was a nice swerve, considering how it all developed. I still don’t know if I can wrap my head around AJ as a heel, because I’ve personally never watched him be one before. But it makes sense, and there’s no question that’s the disposition of Anderson and Gallows. And it will be exciting to have what should be a fresh set of heels, working a fresh program with Cena. Fans had been complaining about the same old retread programs, over and over, so it’s going to be hard to complain about this one, unless this one flat out gets booked terribly-which would be a whole different issue.

That being said, I am looking forward to this, and I do think this program could be the program that finally brings more Club members to the main roster, which should be a good thing too.

This should be an interesting feud. I’ll certainly enjoy every bit of it.

It will be a brilliant fued. Aj swung back and forth during his time in tna. Towards the end he was a heel and a good one and I think he was a heel
In Japan. Although I could be mistaken.

    • ‘Drowen Hart #NN #NBNC ?????

Yes AJ was a heel in Japan.

AJ is a good heel and has done well as a heel in the past in TNA and New Japan. I was wondering at one point if they would have Naitch alongside him again before he turned heel.
