Now, he hasn’t done much with WWE recently, and for good reason. But now? After what he posted Monday night? Unless his was part of an elaborate and seemingly tasteless plan, he won’t be getting an invite to a retro RAW any time soon, either.
I hate to break it to you, Marty, but you peaked with The Rockers. Your most famous on-screen act may very well have been getting Superkicked through the Barbershop set glass on air. I won’t go so far as to say that Shawn carried you, but hindsight being 20/20, he probably did. So it takes a pretty big pair of brass ones (again, unless this is all really planned) to say what was said. As in, implying that not all of the children Stephanie gave birth to, have Hunter as the father.
Now, if Stephanie had gone down a different path? Like, instead of reminding folks how Jannetty was Shawn’s sidekick, she opted to remind folks of the stories of Marty and girls on the road of, shall we say, questionable ages? Then the below-the-belt shot may have been more warranted.
But, she didn’t. So it was not.
Marty, many people liked you as a Rocker, and even afterwards in your various stints. If I had been in your seat last night, even if it was kind of a shot, I’d just be stoked at the mention and leave it at that. Talk about turning something into a negative…
Unless, of course, this is all part of some sick and twisted angle, in which case, look for another one of these (but I can’t imagine two WWE executives allowing the paternity of their children to become on-screen fodder…so…yeah.)
