Extreme Rules: Could-Would-Should

WWE
Ladies and gentlemen, things are about to get extreme for WWE. As in, Extreme Rules! So, who has time for silly banter, we’ve got an extreme card to run down. Shall we? Lets!

Dolph Ziggler versus Baron Corbin

How it could go:

Ziggler could win. I doubt it, but he could.

How it should go:

They’ve let Dolph eek out a couple unlikely wins, but otherwise he’s seemed entirely dominated by the young monster they are billing Corbin to be. So I say, with a no DQ match, Corbin gets a decisive win to close out the program.

How I wish it would go:

Exactly like it should go, honestly. Look, I love the Ziggler character, and I think WWE missed the boat with him. After Survivor Series a few years ago, he was red hot. I don’t remember who he upset, but since then, he’s never gotten much of the same push. Makes you wonder if he wishes he’d been released…

Charlotte versus Natalya, for the Women’s Championship

How it could go:

Natty could win and leave as champion.

How it should go:

I have a feeling Charlotte retains. I don’t like that feeling, but I think it’s accurate.

How I wish it would go:

Honestly, I am not digging Flair right now. And I’ve always been a fan of Natalya’s, so I would be thrilled to see her win.

Kalisto versus Rusev, for the United States Championship

How it could go:

The David versus Goliath schtick could last for another match. But I doubt it.

How it should go:

I am not particularly enamored with Rusev, but his US Title reign was, I think, more eventful and notable than that of Kalisto. So for that alone, I say let’s give Rusev another run.

How I wish it would go:

Same as the should part, with one added note. I am not opposed to seeing this be somewhat of a squash, as another monster heel would be good. And based on size alone, Rusev ought to crush Kalisto with ease.

Fatal Four Way for the Intercontinental Championship

How it could go:

Any one of four ways. Duh.

How it should go:

You have three really compelling challengers. 2 of them have held singles titles in WWE, one has not (not counting the NXT title because, well, it’s NXT). So do you put it on someone for another time? Or give Sami his first reign. Tough call.

How I wish it would go:

Seriously, I can see the logic in any one of the three challengers winning. Just so long as Miz doesn’t retain,I’ll be a happy camper.

Chris Jericho versus Dean Ambrose, in an Asylum match

How it could go:

How crazy would it be to see this one end in a no contest?

How it should go:

I have but one hope, however after a blood-free ‘Mania I expect to be disappointed. And that’s that, this match needs blood.

How I wish it would go:

This one, I just hope, is as entertaining as I think it could be.

Usos versus Anderson and Gallows

How it could go:

I have no idea. But I have a feeling it ends in a fashion that sees one or both Usos incapacitated.

How it should go:

Honestly, no clue. I don’t think the Usos will get the win here, though. I think a win for Gallows and Anderson means more to them in the long run.

How I wish it would go:

Honestly, ambivalent on this one. Just not excited about it.

New Day versus The Vaudevillains, for the Tag Team Championship

How it could go:

Pick ’em. Really, might as well. I favor New Day, but a Vaudevillain win is getting a lot of traction, I think.

How it should go:

I have grown to love a New Day reign, so I’d be sad to see it come to an end. Pulling for a New Day win.

How I wish it would go:

Again, really want a New Day win here, but even if they don’t? I want to see a longer than usual tag match, and I want it to be a classic.

AJ Styles versus Roman Reigns, for the WWE Heavyweight Championship

How it could go:

Roman wins, AJ doesn’t have a chance, and a whole lot of people aren’t happy.

How it should go:

AJ, without much help, pulls one out and becomes champion. I said it’s how it should go, now that it would go…

How I wish it would go:

Would love to see a Styles win here, but not feeling too strongly about it.

okay last PPV I went 7 out of 8 and almost won a gig here so if it wasn’t for Corbin you folks would be reading my pearls of wisdom the last 3 weeks so for you and only you I will sweep the board and be anointed the new writing genius of the wrestling world lol
1..Corbin atones for his being my only blemish on the last card and beats Ziggler
    2…Charlotee beats Nattie
3…as I’ve been saying for weeks now Rusev beats el torito oops Kalisto I mean everyone knows torito is taller
4..Miz wins the 4 way because out of all 4 guys everyone hates the Miz the most so he wins and loses on RAW the next night
    5..Ambrose over Jericho
6.the Club over the Usos because why bother having the club here if they’re going to lose right?
    7..New day wins
8..easiest call of the night Reigns wins
