Is Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston Challenging Team Hell No at WrestleMania 29 A Good Move?

Team Hell No

WWE Tag Team Champions Team Hell No will face Dolph Ziggler and Big E Langston for the tag team titles at WrestleMania 29, but is this a good decision by the company?

Some fans may have been expecting Kane and Daniel Bryan to face one another at the show of shows, but WWE ultimately decided to keep the team together for right now. With the current feud involving Ziggler, Langston and A.J. Lee, fans may be more satisfied than they originally were expecting.

On the March 11th edition of Raw, Dolph Ziggler defeated Daniel Bryan in a well-wrestled match from two of the more popular superstars in WWE. Following the match, Big E Langston continued the attack on Bryan. On the March 15th edition of Smackdown, Kane lost to Ziggler and also suffered an attack by Big E Langston. While some may not think that this is the right choice, it is not a bad idea.

Many WWE fans are expecting Ziggler to cash in his Money in the Bank contract at WrestleMania 29, but putting him in a match for a championship causes people to wonder what exactly WWE is doing with him. Ziggler could still cash in his briefcase and become World Heavyweight Champion, but I don’t see any problem with him becoming a tag team champion as well. Just because he challenges for the tag team titles doesn’t mean he will necessarily win, but if he does, it wouldn’t be the worst decision.

Big E Langston has yet to have his first match since being promoted to the main roster of WWE. He defeated Seth Rollins to win the NXT Championship, but began appearing on WWE TV alongside Ziggler and A.J. Lee shortly after the win. It seems like a great idea to have his first match be a tag team title match at WrestleMania. In fact, it makes Langston quite lucky and shows WWE thinks highly of him. Langston has one of the best workers in Ziggler on his side to help make the match look the best it can against two other great superstars in Kane and Daniel Bryan. Langston’s first match would be for a title and at the biggest show of the year.

If Ziggler and Langston weren’t challenging Team Hell No for the tag team titles at WrestleMania 29, then who would be?

There are definitely other options. The Prime Time Players and Team Rhodes Scholars are the top heel tag teams right now. However, WWE could also choose to put all three teams, along with Brodus Clay and Tensai in a fatal four way match. Regardless, Team Hell No has already defeated both heel tag teams on numerous occasions. Replacing this option with Ziggler and Langston is a much more intriguing and interesting situation.

While there are other options, Ziggler and Langston against Team Hell No is a suitable match for WrestleMania 29. The match raises questions about Ziggler and his briefcase situation, Langston finally gets his first official match in WWE and Team Hell No gets new challengers that they have never faced before. All in all, WWE will be providing fans with a great tag team title match on April 7th in New Jersey.

I think it’s the best fresh match they could do right now. I really hope they get Big E some ring time before Mania. I’d hate for him to flub a potential show-stealer.

Keep in mind that they think enough of him that he’s the NXT Champion down in developmental, which I don’t think would be the case if he was a botch artist. That said, Ziggler’s going to carry his side of the match as he well should.

Bo Dallas was a big prospect too, and he didn’t live up to hype. I’d just like to see him get some kind of rhythm in the WWE ring instead of Wrestlemania being his first big league match.

I think wwe has done a terrible job booking wrestlemania with rematches and mid card matches that should be on your basic ppv. Plus, throwing matches together last minute without months of buildup, doesn’t get me excited for wrestlemania. this match does intrique me though, and with such a bad card shouldn’t have any problem being one of the best matches of the night.

predicatable …umm maybe but bad card no way in hell……….. the only partime wrestler who dosen’t deserve to be on the wrestlemania card is triple h …rock and brock draw money …taker is there for the streak which is a money draw for mania..and jericho works with the young guys and puts them over..if triple h wins at mania i will lose all respect i have for the man

Big E is gonna steal the Show. Watch this space.

    • Rob

I want what you’re smoking please.

      • IamLisa

        Go to hell you imbecile.

        • Rob

So whats where you got the drugs your on?

    • Chelsii

They said the same about Bobby Lashley. Notice he’s in the gutter now?

      • IamLisa

Big E has more talent in his little finger than Bobby Lashley ever had in his entire body.
I was a Lashley fan too but Big E has more potential. FACT.
WWE just needs to give him a big time push. He’ll surpass expectations and become a real force to be reckoned with in the WWE.

        • Naleen Phimmasone

Two thirds of the roster could use a big time push <.<

  • Jaydn Lebsanft

i would rather see ziggler cash in a maina then fight del rio and swagger at extreme rules

  • Bryson Holloway

ziggler wins the tag titles and the whc?? i like it!

    • CMmox

Yeah me too. When’s the last time a world champion was at the same time tag champion?

      • Sean Patrick

Cena? Did he have the title when HBK/Miz and he won?

        • CMmox

HBK/Miz? Anyway I remember that he was tag champ with HBK while he was WWE champ. It was in 2007, right?

          • Sean Patrick

Sorry, meant HBK and/or Miz. They have a tendency to make Cena hold the tag straps with his rivals.

    • Maria Baker

agree cash in money in the bank on the rock or cena (hopefully cena) or turn it into triple threat cena doesn’t win and turns heel

  • tomcatjerrymouse

I was hoping to see Chris Jericho/Dolph Ziggler but this will have to do. Finally there’s a good tag team title match at WM and this is the best possible matchup. Every other tag team has been buried or split up so this makes sense. What they need to do instead of showing movie trailers, video packages and wasting our time with Fandango, is to put Big E Langton in some matches.

  • Flippy

I could do without the tag match. Daniel Bryan and Kane’s act is incredibly stale, and this is more about AJ and Bryan than the tag titles. Hopefully Ziggler and Langston do win so Kane and Bryan can finally split, but I wouldn’t expect them to have the belts for too long as Ziggler will have to cash in Money in the Bank at some point relatively soon.
