Superstars Who Deserve A WWE Championship Run

WWE Championship
There’s no secret that WWE’s roster is light as someone seems to get injured every week. With injuries being a problem, it’s also an opportunity. These five wrestlers have never been WWE Champion, but are due for a title run and this could be their time.

Luke Harper certainly deserves a run with 1 of the belts, Aj Styles time will come maybe next year. Ambrose is a good worker but I find him stale in the ring, his lunatic moves seem to be the same every match and in the same order, the other 2 meh they do a great job as upper mid carders or part of tag team champions, I don’t see any reason to elevate them when even with the injuries currently the top of the tree is still quite strong

    • jcice13

dean pillman oops I mean ambrose isn’t going to get a run with the belt , his act isn’t stale yet but if you think so that’s cool cause I can see where you’re coming from but for me I like how he acts and some of the subtle things he does his wrestling of course is stale but that can be said for all the people after you’ve seen them over 100 times‚Ķ‚Ķalso agree with your AJ assessment but even he won’t get a run, he’s a vince mid card champ type and he can’t talk for crap

  • jcice13

when you say a championship run you mean the world title right?

    • Jakerams

I believe so considering some of the others held mid card championships before.

      • jcice13

I knew that but when one is dealing with this site it’s better to be 100% sure and this is not a knock at Lisnow but even he doesn’t read some things on HIS moderator watch here and that’s a quote from him so I like to always be sure beforehand

    • Joseph Lisnow

      Yes, correct.

  • Jakerams

AJ Styles is too early, Ambrose needs to have a serious gimmick change, Kofi sure though I’m not sure I want a unicorn to be the top guy, Luke Harper is a great wrestler who can easily put on a great match but his gimmick is not going to get him a chance to be anything more than a midcard guy, and Sin Cara no.

Some other people who deserve to be WWE champion: Cesaro because the guy is one of the best wrestlers, Big E has charisma, strength, and athleticism and has proven he can get the fans behind him, Rusev has great mic skills, he’s a great athlete, and he has a good manager in his future wife, and Cody Rhodes easily one of the better performers on the roster, he can do any gimmick he’s told to,and he has been very well over with the crowd at times.

  • That boy Alejandro

Cody rhodes, bray wyatt, dolph ziggler, kevin owens, big E and cesaro deserve it too

    • jcice13

I’ll agree with Bray,KO and Cesaro but the other 3? can’t

      • That boy Alejandro

Dolph ziggler because he can sell any move and he’s entertaining. Cody rhodes not stardurst because he’s good on the mic and ring, his angle with the authority in 2013 was awesome and big E because he’s good in the ring too strong, his splash is cool and his spear/suicide dive is awesome.

there’s not one guy I would put any money on to win the world title here‚Ķ‚Ķ.Ambrose is this eras brian pillman and pillman didn’t win the title, calista is a midget and we’ve already had one of those 2 if you count Bryan‚Ķ.AJ has vince’s mid level titleholder slot locked up for 2 years and Harper might as well be somewhere else he’s not even the top guy in his group odds wise to get a run and poor kofi he can’t even remember how long he’s been here he has zero chance of being champ…

  • biz

Couple of disagreements. First off, how in the world could anyone believe sin cara could he wwe champion? That’s just silly to think.

Although I’m a huge fan of harper’s, it’d make way more sense for bray to be on this list before one of his underlings. Although I think Harper should lead the Wyatt family in turning in bray.

Kofi would be a good champion and I actually wouldn’t mind it if he got a run. They unfortunately blew an opportunity to put him in the main event scene after his feud with Orton.

AJ could definitely win the title this year. I’d almost guarantee it if they puta version of the vullet club behind him.

I hate dean. He does the same crap in the ring every match and I hate listening to him talk.

    • jcice13

probably because they made rey champ?

      • biz

Huge difference between Rey and sim cara.

        • jcice13

true but if was the WWE that said they brought him in to be a replacement of sorts to rey, so I am only using the comparison because they were the ones making it and trying to appease the hispanic crowd

    #PushLuke

    • Joseph Lisnow

Need to get that trending on Twitter. Maybe then, WWE will take notice.

  • MikeLo #NewNation

    Lol Sin Cara

  • KingBack

You must be high if you think that SIn Cara should have a run with the WWE Championship..
Guys like Cesaro, Wyatt, Ziggler, Owens, Rusev, Rhodes… hell even Ryback are and should be miles ahead of SIn Cara

    • Joseph Lisnow

i think you’re high going with Rusev lol.

      • jcice13

Rusev has a much better chance than those you mentioned and he has a dolly for a manager, but even he is improbable… and yeah I am high cause if you weren’t when you wrote this you should be..Sin Cara????

        • Joseph Lisnow

when triple h signed Sin Cara (which was his first since turning all executive), he was teaming with Cena, closing shows, and pinning top stars). HHH wanted him to be a success; not a bust b/c then it looks bad on the COO. If his first project without Vince having a say bombed, it doesn’t show faith in HHH’s ability to run a billionaire company. All my opinion.

    • alpansh banerjee

      Completely agree with you!!

  • Joseph Lisnow

Based off the comments, Cesaro seems like a top pick within our readers. Who should he replace on the current list???

    • jcice13

      everyone else

    • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??????

      Sin Cara lmao

    • BooGonk

Well, Sin Cara is obviously the most ridiculous of the 5.

      • Joseph Lisnow

remember, at one time triple h wanted to make him the next Rey.

        • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??????

And how did that work out lol? The original Sin Cara had superstar written all over him till he screwed himself over lol.

  • Mike

Ambrose for sure. He is probably the hottest thing going in wwe right now. I’d love him to win the title at roadblock. His gimmick is excellent he is funny and a great talker. Very good in the ring. Harper I really like, but I doubt he ever wins the wwe title. It’s far to soon for styles, sin cara, no chance. Kofi I think is good doing what he is doing. Surely bray wyatt is a shoe in for this list, cesaro also when he is back.

  • Damian Starr

With a singular WWE title belt, I would say only Ambrose has a realistic chance within the next two years or so. AJ would be next up, but remember theres Reigns, we have Rollins who’ll be back soonish, Cena will be back soonish, you’ve got Shemus, ADR and Rusev as top level heels no doubt Orton will have another push some time in the near future, I don’t particularly see the title leaving this upper echelon of the card any time soon.

Edit, I’ll add KO to that list actually

    • Joseph Lisnow

i cant see Rusev ever being WWE Champion. Any other title, sure.

  • http://salutethemiddlefin.wix.com/middlefinger The Middle Finger

Dean Ambrose most definitely. If he wins the WWE World Title at least once, then that’s good enough. He’s more than earned it and deserves it more than any other active member of the roster.

  • Drama Mustafa #NewNation

So no kevin owens? Really joe ?

  • The Shockmaster

Not with 2.0 holding the belt
