WNZ Mock Draft: Dream Feuds

Wyatt Family
Now that the rosters have been (mock) drafted, it’s time to evaluate them and call out several potentially awesome feuds!

RAW

Randy Orton versus Baron Corbin

This feud is somewhat dependant on whether or not Randy Orton returns as a face; which I’m thinking he will. Both have darker personas, offer sheer brutality in their repertoire, and both characters really don’t care about anything, but making it to the top of the WWE ladder. Randy Orton is already there: 12-time WWE Champion, former Intercontinental Champion, former tag team champion, winner of the 2009 Royal Rumble, and Mr. Money in the Bank 2013. Not too shabby. Corbin on the other hand, has a lot to prove. Both are solid on the mic, and pretty aggressive in the ring. After Randy deals with Lesnar at SummerSlam, a program between these two might be quite interesting.

Sasha Banks versus Becky Lynch

These women have killed it in matches for the NXT Women’s Championship in programs’ past; and had a minor feud leading up to Wrestlemania 32, which prompted the Triple Threat match for the WWE Women’s Championship, where they were vying for Charlotte’s title. However, if (and yes, I’m leaning towards this) Sasha Banks wins this belt in and around SummerSlam (anything is possible), then a program that pits Becky versus Sasha (finally on the main roster), is certainly in order.

AJ Styles versus Shinuke Nakamura

Who would have thought we would ever see these two incredible superstars in the WWE? And now, not only are they tearing down arenas everywhere; there is potential that these two could link up on the main roster on television or pay-per-views. If these two amazing performers land on the same roster, than there is no doubt, that is would not only be a dream match scenario for me, a solid program to watch as well.

Sami Zayn versus Roman Reigns

As much as I am loving the never-ending program between Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn, it will eventually need to end; and both superstars will need to dive into a new feud. Regardless of whether or not Roman Reigns turns heel, matches with Sami Zayn (much like his matches with AJ Styles) could help him with his in-ring technique. As for Zayn? Matches with a WWE main eventer and former champion will also only help elevate him as a performer with the company.

Brock Lesnar versus The Club

So while the program would be ‘The Beast versus The Club’ matches would center around all three members of the faction versus Lesnar: Karl Anderson, Luke Gallows, and primarily AJ Styles. The WWE teased a similar idea earlier this year, during the 2016 Royal Rumble, with Lesnar and the Wyatt Family. Alas, this never really came to fruition, but in my mock roster, it seems like a possibility. Could you imagine the promos between Paul Heyman and Styles? It’s what pro wrestling dreams are made of.

SmackDown

Kevin Owens versus Bray Wyatt

Yes, I am well aware that both, officially, serve in heel roles. But, both are also often cheered just as much as not, so this would be an interesting pairing, just to see who picks what side. Beyond that? These are two stars that WWE should be able to depend on for the next decade and beyond, and neither man is that prototypical build. But they defy conventional wisdom, which is why such a feud with them would, I think, do great business.

Asuka versus Bayley

This, I admit, was way too easy. After all, we just saw these two do battle in NXT, but what a clash that was, no? Imagine we get another go ’round, but on the much bigger stages? It’s hard not to be excited by the chances of seeing them face off again. And again.

Finn Balor versus Seth Rollins

I don’t know that this one requires much explanation, but I will provide some anyways. Rollins was arguably the man in WWE for 2015, and is firmly back at the top now that his knee’s healed. Balor was the man in NXT in 2015, and a lot of 2016, too. They are dynamic. They are electric. They are transcendent talents, who always have a knack to produce big matches when the lights shine brightest. So, what would happen if these two worked together? I want to find out, and I trust a lot of the WWE Universe would want to, too.

Joe V’s AJ would be brilliant, the chemistry they had in TNA and matches were 5*
Bayley I would of thought would go either straight for the title, or they would put her against Paige for a while, as she gets used to bigger audiences etc dependant on how she does at Battleground in her tag match with Sasha
