WNZ Open Season: On The Fast Cash In

WWE
And sure, my slow response to it. But seriously folks, it isn’t often we see a MITB cash in on the same night. I’ve long become accustomed to the briefcase serving as a defacto extra championship belt, but having Dean cash in so fast sort of robs us of that, doesn’t it?

That being said, I have a pro and a con, and an idea…

Pro:

The timing couldn’t have been better, as the title changes all happened just before Roman was a bad boy. And, more significantly, after a strong feud in 2015 where Dean kept coming up short, it was payback time. Plus, how often can a company say that all three members of what they consider to be the greatest stable of the last decade, all hold the big prize on a single show?

Con

Point blank, the cash in removes an extra belt. It also crushes the perpetual teasing of “will he or won’t he”. And I know plenty of people who are crushed about the lack of this. But, I think this is where my idea comes in..

The idea

It’s still a few weeks out, but SummerSlam could be the host of another, all new, Money in the Bank match. And why not? Following the brand split, WWE needs some folks to emerge as number 1 contenders, and I think if that gets taken care of, everything will be fine.

Now, I’ve long said I am fine with one MITB match, but I’ve also favored moving it to ‘Mania. That being said, I don’t dislike the idea of going back to 2, one for each brand. That part makes sense. And since the split happened well after ‘Mania, I think it’s quite likely that SmackDown and RAW bring the matches back, and SummerSlam would be a good chance to bring them back.

WNZ readers, what do you think?

Would enjoy to see the Smackdown vs raw survivor series matches again. Always enjoyed the tension that each brand could make against each other

Bragging Rights PPV was a good concept. Kinda bummed it ended with Smackdown holding the trophy both years leaving RAW in the cold.
