WrestleMania 32 Staff Predictions

Zack Ryder
It’s April and WrestleMania 32 is finally upon us.

11 matches have been booked for the show and we here at WrestleNewz felt the urge to predict the card, like every other wrestling fan. We gave it our best attempt and here’s what the staff came up with.

Don’t forget to add your own predictions in our comments section. Let’s see if anyone correctly predicts all 11 matches. If that happens, let’s talk about a job.

WrestleMania 32 play by play coverage is being handled by WrestleNewz with the pre-show at 5 PM EST and the main part going live at 7 PM EST. We’ll also have the fallout, so stay tuned.

Should be a fun, hectic, wild and uncertain six hours.

Pre-show: Team Total Divas (Natalya, Paige, Alicia Fox, Brie Bella and Eva Marie) vs. Team B.A.D. & Blonde (Lana, Tamina Snuka, Naomi, Emma and Summer Rae)

Dorathy: Team BAD and Blonde. I think the whole idea is to make Lana’s debut memorable, and perhaps even sweep under the rug that this is Brie Bella’s last match. I think Eva will turn on her team, causing them the loss.

John: I think this has train wreck written all over it. Part of me says that 9 Divas should all turn on, and destroy, Eva Marie. But we know that isn’t happening. For this one? I will give the win to the Total Diva

Joseph: Team BAD & Blonde. Look for Eva Marie to play the difference. Eva will show why she’s a heel on Total Divas and NXT by the time this match concludes.

Pre-show: The Usos vs. The Dudley Boyz

Dorathy: The Usos. The match will be incredible, and help set the tone and create some hype during the Pre-Show Kickoff for Wrestlemania. In the end, it could go either way, but I’m picking The Usos, as it seems The Dudleys have transitioned into a role where they are helping push over younger talent.

John: I am disappointed, because I thought Bubba and DVon would be tag champs by now. Instead? We get a rather plain feud, no titles involved. For this match, I will be a homer and go for The Dudleys with the win. Outside shot of a DQ.

Joseph: This match feels off with no tables being involved. Seeing the Dudley Boyz do the job to the much younger Uso twins seems to be their new role.

Pre-show: WWE United States Championship: Kalisto vs. Ryback

Dorathy: Kalisto. This is a classic ‘David versus Goliath’ match, and I feel like the WWE is high on Kalisto right now, and giving him a push. It’ll be fair and square, but he’ll win the match, and this program may even end amicably; I’m predicting a hand shake at the end of the match between both competitors.

John: I think I stick with the diminutive Kalisto here. I like him and what he’s done as a champion, but I also am not really digging the direction they have Ryback moving in. So, I see no reason to give him the title.

Joseph: Kalisto because WWE wants and needs a star out of South America. Ryback is playing a bully and WWE is against that kind of behavior. Having the little guy win shows Kalisto’s giant heart.

Chris Jericho vs. AJ Styles

Dorathy: Styles. What can I say? I love Y2J, but it is Styles’ first Wrestlemania, and perhaps that means it is written in the stars. No matter what the outcome, these two are going to steal the show.

John: Simply put? I call this one Styles’ monumental moment. He wins, in what should really push the entire card for match of the night honors.

Joseph: AJ Syles. Tough one to call, especially because they’ve feuded once before and are equally talented. It’s AJ Styles’ first WrestleMania, which is another reason for a needed win.

Handicap Match: New Day (Big E, Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods) vs. League of Nations (Sheamus, Rusev, King Barrett and Alberto Del Rio)

Dorathy: LON. I don’t believe this is a match where the WWE Tag Team titles are on the line (shocking, I know!), so I say LON for the win. They’ll definitely cheat and use the numbers advantage to gain some heat and the win.

John: I will call it now: New Day either gets a nice assist from the surviving Freebirds, or we get a fourth New Day member. Either way, I give the win to the colorful trio.

Joseph: New Day. From the start, LON has been a complete flop. Some miscommunication on tonight’s card and New Day gets the win despite the numbers. Post-match, the LON turn on each other.

Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal
Heath Slater, Curtis Axel, Adam Rose, Bo Dallas, Big Show, Kane, Tyler Breeze, Jack Swagger, Fandango, Damien Sandow, Darren Young, Konnor, Viktor, Goldust, R-Truth and 5 others TBA.

Dorathy: Braun Strowman. With so many competitors involved, and likely some surprise entrants, I’m going with the superstar that I’ve heard the most buzz around winning.

John: I am calling for a repeat winner here. Either Big Show, or a returning Cesaro, will get the win.

Joseph: Surprise Entrant. Of the names confirmed, nobody stands out. Big Show seems like the favorite, but he won last year and nothing happened. Cesaro, NXT talent, someone overseas, or a returning star works.

No Holds Barred Street Fight: Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose

Dorathy: The Lunatic Fringe. I think Ambrose is going to pull out all the stops, and while I would LOVE to see Bray Wyatt interfere in the main event match, I think he’s going to interfere in this one; causing Lesnar to lose, and starting a program with The Beast Incarnate.

John: To me, how this match goes will speak volumes on two fronts. One, how highly WWE thinks of Dean, and two, how into WWE is Brock, really. Because if WWE does this right, we get an awesome match where both men look super-strong, but one that puts Dean over and really builds him up.

Joseph: Brock Lesnar. Everybody felt Dean Ambrose always got the short end in storylines as WWE focused on Roman Reigns and Seth Rollins. Well, Ambrose is now in a feature match but stands no chance; with or without weapons.
