After the card was finished and Eddie Alvarez had unseated Michael Chandler atop the lightweight division, White let his feelings out of the bag in regards to Bellator CEO Bjorn Rebney.
Rebney and Alvarez went all the way to the court house after the fighter had his contract expire. Alvarez appeared on his way to the UFC, but Bellator blocked it and eventually signed him to face Chandler.
“I’m hearing Djork oops Bjork got served a big fat plate of Karma tonight:),” White posted on Twitter. “Congrats Eddie!!”
There have been several reports of Alvarez and his new deal, some which stated he would become a free agent with a loss to Chandler. He is expected to face Chandler a third time in 2014, and would then become eligible to sign with whatever promotion he wants.
