Bobby Roode Explains Why He Left Impact Wrestling

As noted, former TNA champions Bobby Roode and Eric Young requested to be released from their TNA contracts. The two wrestlers are now free agents.

Roode spoke with the Peterborough Examiner about his departure from TNA.

“It felt like it was the right time,” Roode said, Sunday night. “After almost 13 years in a wrestling company I felt like there was nothing really left for me to do there. I wanted to mutually part ways. I have nothing negative to say about TNA Wrestling. They treated me very, very well. It was just a matter of me being in a part of my life where I’m not sure TNA was the right fit for me anymore. The brand has been stale for the last little while and the growth wasn’t there as it was in the early years. I’m a free agent so I can do anything I want as far as wrestling goes.”

There are rumors that Roode and Young may be WWE-bound.

I would love to see Roode in WWE. He’s a younger, better version of Triple H.

    • Joseph Lisnow

      he’s no triple h.

Are we talking about the Triple H of 1999-2006 or the boring HHH of 2016? Those are two different people/characters.

LOL you have got to share those drugs

      • Lisa

You don’t agree with me on Roode?

        • jcice13

heck no..on the one hand you’re talking about one of the greatest performers of all time, whether one likes him or not HHH has been a big time star and helped carry his promotion as one of the main characters in the biggest battle in wrestling history..the other? a real nice wrestler who at this time is a nobody, do I think Roode is good? yes I do…but a better version of one of the all time greats??? come on..and I sincerely hope he does come to the WWE so you can see for yourself just how far short he will come to your assessment of him..I’m willing to bet he won’t even be the world champ even once, and IF he is he won’t be a repeat how does that compare to HHH? and forget about mic skills he’s a mute in comparison to HHH
