Update on Jeff Jarrett’s Status with TNA Wrestling

TNA’s founder Jeff Jarrett was backstage at Thursday’s Impact Wrestling tapings in St. Louis, Missouri. Jarrett was involved in a backstage production meeting and was also working in some kinda of agent role.

There has been a lot of talk that Jarrett is starting to be more involved in the week to week operations of Impact again, as opposed to working only behind the scenes in Nashville on new potential projects and international deals.

  • Trey Doss

he needs to return to tv

    • Devon

He should. He shouldn’t wrestle though

  • Bignic

Only Jeff can save TNA cause Dixie is clueless.

  • Damian Starr

    JJ for GM?

  • Z….

Maybe they’ve finally realized that Hogan is the issue and are planning on getting rid of him when his contract expires soon.

    • Macho Man

You do realize Hogan is only an on camera “GM” don’t you? He has no more power in decision making then Brad Maddox, or Vickie Guerrero do as “GM’s” in WWE. Vince as the owner makes all the decisions in WWE and in TNA it’s Robert Carter, Jeff Jarrett. Robert is the majority owner and Jeff is the minority owner of TNA not Hulk or Dixie. Dixie is just the public face of TNA. Hogan is just a prop and a very expensive prop at that, but I don’t blame Hogan for that as TNA’s the one who gave him the contract. At the end of the day you people who blame Hogan need to get a clue! TNA’s problem is the guy who owns the majority of the company(Robert Carter) doesn’t seem to care if it succeds or not. It almost comes off as to him it’s just a nice little tax write off and a nice little thing to give his daughter to play around with. Hogan could of left two or three years ago or he could leave tomorrow and TNA would still be in the same situation. Until they get an owner who actual cares about the company even half as much as Vince does WWE, TNA will continue to circle the drain!
      .

      • Z….

Hogan was still a primary decision maker during his time there, especially the ideas to go live every week and move the show to mondays and all of that stuff. Just doing that, they lost A TON of money…He was also responsible for changing the direction from more professional wrestling to more sports entertainment. Dont try to tell me Hogan isnt part of it when it can be proven…As I have said before, please change your moniker b/c you are making me associate greatness with stupidity….

        • Macho Man

Are you retarded, or just to blinded by you’re hate for Hogan? HULK DOESN’T OWN ANY PART OF TNA, STUPID!!!! Hulk doesn’t write the checks! He can give advice as MANY people can and do but at the end of the day it comes down to what the OWNER(S) decide to do. They decide the direction they’re company goes in! Do you really not understand that? Why don’t you grow a pair and place the blame where it belongs, on the OWNER(S)! Please prove to me that Hulk is an OWNER of TNA. If he is not an OWNER then he doesn’t make the final decisions. And as I have said before, I would be a little less worried about my moniker and a little more worried about yours. Beings you are apparently to STUPID to understand Hogan is not an OWNER of TNA then I am not shocked that my moniker causes you so much distress. I don’t think letters A-Y are stupid just because Z seems to be!

          • Z….

you’re an idiot. Nobody is arguing that Hogan isnt an owner…there clearly isnt anything to say to you. you dont know anything about where this company was at the end of 2009, before Hogan came in, compared to where they were just a couple of months later. Bob Carter owns Panda Energy, which is the PARENT COMPANY of TNA. Dixie is the President of TNA and runs the day to day operations….you know what? I’m not wasting anymore time on this stupidity

          • Macho Man

Yeah I would “tap out” of this argument if I were you to. You having “nothing left to say” is because the actual FACTS are on my side. Robert Carter OWNS TNA no matter what Dixie’s title is. Daddy bought it and put her in charge but bet your bottom dollar that ALL major decisions go through Robert. TNA was where it was in 2009 because of the OWNERS and is where it is today because of the OWNERS. It has ZERO to do with HULK. The current ownership of TNA has maxed out what they can do for it. They have shown they don’t have the interest or knowledge to make it as big as it could be. If you want to live in a fantasy world where all TNA’s problems are caused by Hulk Hogan that’s your choice but it is factual incorrect. If you don’t like Hogan that’s fine and dandy. Everyone’s entitled to they’re opinions but the reality is Hogan is no more responsible for TNA’s failures than you or I. The OWNERS are the ones you need to blame, not a guy that they brought in to play a role as a character that he is paid by the OWNERS to portray. Get a clue, BROTHER!!!!!

          • jcice13

so you’re saying that hogan doesn’t have dixie’s ear??? do you really believe a con man scam artist survivor like hogan doesn’t know how to work a novice like dixie??? I think all Z was really saying is exactly that, that hogan and his brand carries a ton of weight with dixie, I truly believe she has been star struck since day one with hogan and hogan knows how to work a situation, damn if you’re really the macho man you of all people should know that, he screwed with you in 2 different companies and I didn’t see anywhere in Z’s original post where he said hogan owned the company or did day to day stuff

          • Macho Man

He implied TNA’s problems are because of Hogan. Which is false TNA’s problems are much bigger than Hogan. Does no one get that? TNA’s problem is they’re OWNERS, period. I’m sure Hogan gives his input to Dixie but at the end of the day Dixie doesn’t have to take it as the gospel. (And lets get real here Dixie is in charge of TNA in TV land and public appearances only. At the end of the day Robert Carter is the majority owner who makes all the MAJOR decisions.)Do you think when Cena or Punk or someone like that gives Vince they’re opinions or advice Vince is like okay I got to do that because John Cena or CM Punk said I should. HELL NO!!! Vince makes his own decisions because he’s the OWNER. That’s what REAL OWNERS DO! And as much as I love the Macho Man he was just as responsible for his and Hogan’s issues as Hogan was to be fair. Macho could go a little off the tracks sometimes.

          • Richie

Comparing Vince McMahon and Dixie Carter is like comparing apples to oranges! Congrats on proving that you have NO CLUE what the hell you are talking about! For one, Vince has been in the business ALL his life and knows the business inside and out and while he may welcome input from stars, he doesn’t need it! The Carters are very inexperienced when it comes to the business, so they ARE gonna listen to guys like Hogan because they figure all the years hes been around, that he must know what hes talking about!

          • Macho Man

Good god you’re dumb! I never compared Dixie to Vince, I compared Robert to Vince! Dixie is just a prop. Yes she is the president of TNA but in reality it’s just a TV and public relations title as her daddy is the OWNER! And the OWNER has no clue on how to run a wrestling company as shown. The Carters are stupid for letting they’re daughter talk them into buying TNA because it’s essentially a money pit for them. Dixie is as clueless as her dad is and it will never get any better than it has already been with Bob Carter the OWNER in charge because he doesn’t know what the f**k he’s doing. Not only that he doesn’t care to know what to do. It’s just a little toy to him to keep his daughter Dixie happy. Rather pathetic! You clowns who keep blaming Hogan for TNA’s failures are so blinded by you’re hate for Hogan you don’t blame the freaking OWNER who decided to bring Hogan in and pay him all that money for talking! You all complain about how much Hogan makes but guess what, TNA’s OWNER agreed to pay him that! Grow a pair and put the blame where it REALLY belongs, on the OWNER!!!!!!!!!!

          • Richie

Umm, YES, moron you DID compare Dixie and the Carters to Vince McMahon…HERE is the QUOTE FOR YOUR COMMENT…

“I’m sure Hogan gives his input to Dixie but at the end of the day Dixie
doesn’t have to take it as the gospel. (And lets get real here Dixie is
in charge of TNA in TV land and public appearances only. At the end of
the day Robert Carter is the majority owner who makes all the MAJOR
decisions.)Do you think when Cena or Punk or someone like that gives
Vince they’re opinions or advice Vince is like okay I got to do that
because John Cena or CM Punk said I should. HELL NO!!! Vince makes his
own decisions because he’s the OWNER”

THAT, my ignorant friend IS A COMPARISON!

          • Macho Man

Umm, NO it’s comparing ROBERT to VINCE DUMBS**IT! It’s the exact same thing as people giving Stephanie advice or suggestions! At the end of the day the decision’s come down to the OWNER making them. Let me spell this out for you. I don’t care who tells who what they should or should not do. At the end of the day Vince makes the decisions in WWE and ROBERT(not Dixie) makes the decisions in TNA. The major diffrence is one knows how to run the product they OWN and thee other doesn’t. Get that through you’re thick skull.

That, my ignorant friend is explanning something to someone who is to blinded by hate to except reality!

          • Richie

No one is saying he is an owner moron! But he DOES have A LOT of pull within the company, everyone listens to him given all the years experience he has, AND because he is one of, if not THE biggest name in pro wrestling history…he has some major pull and influence on the decision making!

          • Macho Man

That is not Hogan’s problem that’s the OWNERS problem, dummy! You shouldn’t buy something you have no idea how to run! At the end of the day TNA’s problems are brought on by they’re OWNERS, stupid! Last I checked Hogan has never owned a wrestling company so them taking advice from him on how to run a wrestling company shows how stupid they are and why they are where they are, you dope!

          • Richie

All you are doing is spewing THE SAME garbage! Stop with the “Hogan is not an owner” crap! Are you blind! I CLEARLY ACKNOWLEDGED THAT idiot! So STFU already! And heres a point your ignorant mind may not comprehend…MAYBE its in Hogan’s contract that he has that pull, and is involved in the decision making! That would make it his problem as well as anyone else’s! You do not know the terms of his contract so you have no clue what you are babbling about!

          • Macho Man

It has to be repeated time after time because you Hogan haters won’t except the fact that TNA was, is, and always has been crap! You want to blame Hogan for it but the fact is Hogan was brought in to TNA because they’re product was so crappy they had to grasp for 50-60 year old essential retired wrestler to draw some needed attetion. How pathetic is that! And by the way Hogan owns exactly 0% of TNA. How do you have pull if you own 0% of something? Not only that I’ve heard him say he has nothing to do with the major decisions that are made by the company. You’re one of those types that if you get a flat tire today it will be Hulk Hogan’s fault. Very pathetic, Dickie!

          • Richie

Its not “hating” on Hogan that we are doing! Its called common sense! Something you clearly lack! Hogan was good for business back in the 80s and 90s, but he is old and outdated, the wrestling world has moved on, while he hasn’t! THAT is why most ppl say Hogan needs to go! Not because we hate him, its just that we want to see NEW faces!

Oh and thanx for yet again putting your foot in your mouth! You don’t HAVE to be an owner to have pull dumbs**t…u just have to be in the owners ear…and Hogan is clearly in the ears of the Carters! You can bet that a lot of the major decisions are heavily influenced by Hogan! So again…good day moron! You are out of your league here so STFU!

          • Macho Man

You have no sense, let alone common sense! I never said Hogan should still be around, did I? But I also will not blame him for being around if someone as DUMB as Robert Carter will pay him that much to basically stand around on TV as a GM and announce matches. That’s on the STUPID A*S OWNER of TNA not Hogan, you DOUCHE! You’re stupidity shows who’s out of their league here. You can’t even accept the reality of the FACTS. I don’t care who is in who’s ear in ANY business. At the end of the day Hogan is HIRED TALENT/AN EMPLOYEE like everybody else. The OWNER needs to put on his big boy pants and make his OWN decisions. God you’re brutal, I have not come across someone as DUMB as you for a while. And yeah, run along little boy it’s time for to take you’re NONSENSE home and peddle it to someone who is as CLUELESS as your DUMBA*S is.

      • Richie

None of what you said means anything! Where Hogan is the problem is in the FINANCIAL dept. He gets $75,000 a night that he appears on TV…if he appears EVERY week AND on PPVs, thats a little over 4 million a year for doing NOTHING!! THAT is where he is the problem! They can use that money for younger talent, and to KEEP the talent they have now if they would let Hogan go!

        • Macho Man

Once again Hogan doesn’t write the checks to himself STUPID. The OWNERS choosed to bring him in and pay him. Once again a very poor move by the OWNERS! Hogan is just an expensive prop at this time in his life. He can’t wrestle and they know it yet the OWNERS decide to pay him that much money for talking basically. That’s not on Hogan that’s on the OWNERS!

          • Richie

You REALLY are a moron! You need to shut up because all you are doing is making yourself look dumber by the second! Hogan negotiated for that high pay…he CONNED the Carters, and he is bleeding TNA dry! He knew the Carters would jump on his namesake and negotiated a ridiculous salary for himself…it was a simple con job, nothing more! But you seem to be to busy swinging on Hogan’s sack to realize that, so good day moron!

          • Macho Man

Hogan can ask for a billion dollars a show, it doesn’t mean you have to give it to him. How did he con anybody? Nobody forced them to sign the contract. You know what that’s called A POOR DECISION BY THE OWNER!!!! Hogan isn’t bleeding them dry THEY are bleeding themselves dry. Call it what you want but it’s just stating the facts. Just because you don’t like the facts, doesn’t make them not facts. Hey Dickie, since you don’t seem to be to bright try not to get hit by a car crossing the street today as I’m sure that would be Hulk Hogan’s fault as well. Get a clue, BROTHER!!!!!

          • Richie

Get off of Hogan’s nuts and open your eyes…and use what little brain you do have! Hogan is conning every penny he can get from TNA…he IS bleeding them dry! If he is not, and he was such a good guy like YOU seem to think, he would realize that hes not helping and he would walk away! But no, he stays, ONLY for the money! Because it was HIS idea to con them, not the other way around! Get a clue, and then a life! Oh and now your using Hogan quotes…how old are you, 10! Grow up! I’m done arguing with children!

          • Macho Man

Hey Dickie, still don’t know how he conned them when they begged him to come to they’re business. As I said THEY are bleeding THEMSELVES dry because of BAD decisions by a BAD OWNER. And Dickie, he can only stay around for the money if THEY GIVE IT TO HIM, DUH!!!!!You apparently can not comprehend that though. Good god I feel sorry for those around you on a daily basis if you’re really this DUMB. You’re talking about people’s nuts and I need to grow up? God you are scraping the bottom of the stupid barrel. Say you’re prayers and eat your vitamins and it MIGHT help you get a little smarter, but I highly doubt it, BROTHER!!!!

          • Richie

So u resort to making fun of my name, continue to sound like a broken record, and continue to use Hogan quotes like an excited little 8 year old fanboy and u think u don’t need to grow up! LMAO…i dont think you could get more childish if you tried! Keep going, you are only proving what a child you are! You are clearly to ignorant to grasp the point! You are to stupid to see what a con artist that your “hero” is these days! Sure, they keep paying him, but you have NO CLUE what goes on behind closed doors where the negotiations take place! So stop acting like you know everything, that only proves that you know nothing! And grow up!

          • Macho Man

Ahhh, Dickie got his feelings hurt. I don’t know why as Dickie is short for Richie. Here’s the deal kid, I will go nose to nose with ANYBODY when I KNOW what they are saying is WRONG. I personally could care less if Hogan is on any wrestling program or not. It doesn’t matter to me. I just like calling people on their FACTUALLY INCORRECT statements such as yours. You can dislike Hogan, hate him and want him gone that”s you’re right. I could care less about that. But blaming Hogan for TNA’S problems is FACTUALLY WRONG! TNA had MAJOR problems before Hogan was there and will have MAJOR problems after Hogan is gone. The point you fail to grasp is it’s the OWNERS FAULT and NOBODY but the OWNERS fault. You don’t have to be behind closed doors to know the OWNER is the man IN CHARGE at the end of the day. And by the way, Hogan is not even one of my top 3 favorite wrestlers of all time so I’m hardly a fanboy of his. However I am a proud fanboy of the Macho Man and CM Punk. Also do you want to know what is more childish than quoting a wrestlers catch phrases? People who talk about a persons nuts in a very WEAK attempt at making a witty insult. Oh yeah that was YOU who did that. What’s next, butt references? I would tell you to RISE ABOVE THE HATE but I’m afraid you’re a lost cause, BROTHER!!!!
