WrestleMania 28 Matches for Taker & Punk, Daniel Bryan Cashing In, More

- As we have noted, WWE is going with the idea that long-term booking works better and will be booking more angles ahead of time and going backwards.

WrestleMania 28 has been a hot topic for months now and the way they have been building up Mark Henry as of late has to do with a possible match with The Undertaker at WrestleMania next year. Some are against the idea with the feeling that Taker shouldn’t waste one of his remaining WrestleMania matches on a guy like Henry, but the match has been discussed.

Daniel Bryan cashing in Money in the Bank and John Cena vs. The Rock is also on tap for Miami next year. Another top match that has been discussed is Triple H vs. CM Punk.

Regarding Bryan cashing in at WrestleMania 28, one source doesn’t expect that storyline to last through the end of this year.

I think I might give Henry a chance if and only if he becomes a champion before WM28, at least he can prove he is worthy by then.

CM Punk vs. Austin is much better, two rule breakers in a day is a good match.

By any chance that Sting would sign in with WWE, then Henry could be moved into a rematch against Show, this time, they should book the match where in the turnbuckles and everything else in the arena gets destroyed.

  I'd see Punk vs Stone Cold. But in my opinion Mark Henry is not good enough to hold the World title this would be like giving The Great Khali the title again. Daniel Bryan would make a excellent World Champ for being a cruiser weight, he is a great wrestler and deserves at least a 3 month title reign. And the whole Undertaker vs Henry would being a match again would be tasteless. I'd rather see them test the Undertaker in a tornado handicap match with a tag team against him that would be better.

  I’d rather see Mark Henry not wrestle anyone at Wrestlemania lol. No offense to the guy but he is stale and boring as a character. Okay a bit rough, but to go after Undertaker’s streak….considering its Taker’s last Wrestlemania probably…is stupid. If I were WWE I’d work to secure Barrett or Sheamus in there or try to get a Legend back to face Taker for one last go…someone like Sting for example.

    First comment on ANY site in about 3 years. I am here reading this article (master of the obvious) and enjoying it and reading comments and as SOON as I see Bee comment, I get a sinking feeling of "really", "really", "really" feeling. I was hoping it was not what I thought, but yes it was. One of my fellow race (assuming) brothers pulls out the "race card". Why why??? My grandfather and Pa went through that many years ago. This is part of the reason there is still much racism in America. Why do WE (what do I mean "we", roll eyes) Black men think about race so much. We do not endure NEARLY as much as our fathers and grandpas did. Race did not even enter my mind in THIS article, until Bee and ndnnd commented. ENOUGH ALREADY. I LIKE Mark Henry as heel, but he is not on the same level as Shawn Michaels. I do not think he can hang in a 30+ minute match with Undertaker. Not everything is about race, okay. Do you even watch wrestling? If you do, then you should know what OP meant by "A guy like Henry". I am obviously a Black man as well and grew up poor, but I worked my a$$ off to be where I am today. We need to stop making excuses, like race and "just do it". Nuff said. I'm out.

    "A guy like Henry" meaning someone who has been around for years and it won't really benefit anyone for him to end Taker's streak. While Henry still might have a good run in him, let's face it – he's not going to be the next breakout WWE Superstar worthy of ending Taker's streak.

  Austin is sure as hell not gonna happen, he can't wrestle anymore. Comparable to Edge.
  
  This might be the last WM the Undertaker will be in, so they need to give him a HUGE opponent,.
  Sting would be good, but I'd really love for him to face (and defeat) Makind and (Masked) Kane (/w Paul Bearer as their manager) in a 1 on 2 handicap match, as his final match ever.

    Actually Stone Cold can wrestle. He himself said he could return and wrestle a near full 2 year schedule if he wanted to. He obviously wont do that, but if he wanted to wrestle he could, so a CM Punk vs Stone Cold match isnt out of the question and it is possible because Stone Cold has said he would love to feud with CM Punk.

      Austin vs Punk at Wrestlemania has dollar signs written all over it, and if it actually does happen, I know the both of them would give their all in the ring. That match would be the real show stealer. The Rock vs Fruity Pebbles match would pale in comparison.
      
      I don’t see the Undertaker wrestling much longer, as he really doesn’t have anything left to prove. His legacy is set in stone, plus you see him less and less with each passing year. If this is his last Wrestlemania, I hope it’s against someone that actually matters, as I can’t think of anyone on the current roster that fits the bill. If any one of you can, please, by all means, enlighten me. No, seriously, my mind’s drawing a blank.

        Gunshark, open your eyes bro.. The Rock is MUCH better then Austin and Punk.. So is John Cena. A dream match fans have been wanting to see since Cena made those remarks about The Rock all those years ago. Sure, Austin and Punk would be a great match up, if Austin wasn't so banged up. Austin may believe he can still go but no one knows that for sure seeing how he hasn't wrestled since 2003. His word is shit.
        
        And what pisses me off is, everyone calls The Rock a sell out when Austin is bragging about still having one more good match in him and he refuses to give his fans what they want…
        
        As far as Undertaker's Mania opponent, I like the new Mark Henry but Taker should face someone he hasn't faced before at a Mania. Sheamus or Wade Barrett would make great opponents for Undertaker as both have been talked about facing him… I don't want to see Kane vs. Undertaker seeing how the last 3 matches weren't good.. Mankind doesn't need to return. Why on earth would Taker trust Paul Bearer to manage him for Mania? Storylines need to make sense people. And Sting? He's just as banged up as Undertaker. A dream match on paper but could be horrible in the ring…

Taker and Henry are very similar in stature and it has already made one terrible Wrestlemania match. Actually, I'd go as far as to say, Undertaker's very WORST Wrestlemania match.

Taker v HHH 2, Taker v Jericho, Taker v Punk, any of those would be much, Much, MUCH better than Taker v Henry 2.

I have a question for Chris. How does watching two people who are horrible wrestlers make a good match? Neither The Rock nor Cena is willing to do anything about that either. When a guy loves wrestling and he can't wrestle very well, he falls off Hell in a Cell and lands on an announce table. He lays on a ladder that crosses from the ring to the barricade while another man like him jumps on him from a ladder in the ring. I'm not saying that Edge, Hardy, or even Foley can't wrestle, but they most certainly aren't like Shawn Michaels or even a young guy like Bryan. That's not a bad thing either. They found their way to make fans happy and they deserve what they get. Talking alone though shouldn't make you a top star, and it did for Rock and Cena.

I’ve been watching wrestling since the late ’70′s, back when I was a little kid, so trust me when I say my eyes are wide open. I’m not some Johnny-come-lately, wet-behind-the ears mark, like some. Everyone has their own opinion about which would be the better ‘Mania match, and there’s no sense getting into it, since everyone’s gonna take their own side, and refuse to budge on the matter. I will, however, comment on the statement made regarding Austin’s word being shit, in regards to his health. Steve Williams would know about his own health better than anyone, especially someone commenting on a wrestling website. If the man says he could make another 2-year run, then, by God, he could make another 2-year run. Whether he does or not is another thing, since he doesn’t owe anyone shit. And that’s all I have to say about that (and I’ve used this phrase long before Stone Cold Steve Austin came along).

Am i the only one thinking that Daniel Bryan will lose the MITB breifcase like Kennedy did to Edge? Bryan isn't strong enough to hold the Heavyweight Title in my opinion, but someone like Barrett or Sheamus could take it off him and win the strap.

  I'm agree… I'd be amazed if Bryan holds onto the briefcase until WrestleMania – and it's probably for this very reason they've had him announce he'll hold it until then. It gives them a lot of time in-between to rip it off him.

where do i start, i think icon Vs icon, WWE has got this one wrong, The Rock should be fighting the Taker not Cena! Otherwise, lets turn back the clock, does everyone remember I think it was summerslam or servivor series (correct me if i am wrong), The Taker vs The taker, The fans will be left wondering which Taker won and was the streak unbeaten or finally endended. Imagine the silence when the 1,2,3 is pinned. I think this would be a great way for a legend to hang up the tombstone, and be remembered and go down as an all time great, if he already isnt.
