This list was so hard to compile because there’s so many awesome finishers out there. I’ll probably end up doing more top finishers list as these barely scratch the surface. There was so many guys I wanted to feature from the old ECW and WCW days but for now, check these out and reminisce. Feel free to leave your comments blow.
10. The People’s Elbow
Before MVP dropped his Ballin’ elbow and John Cena told people they can’t see him, we had The People’s Elbow performed by The Rock. Sure it was just an elbow drop but The Rock made it cool. Here’s two of the more memorable People’s Elbows.
9. The Atomic Leg Drop
Another simple move that is one of the most storied moves in wrestling history. Whenever Hulk Hogan dropped his signature leg drop, you knew what time it was.
8. The Texas Cloverleaf
Dean Malenko was awesome and his Texas Cloverleaf was just one of his 1,000 holds.
7. The Macho Elbow Drop
There was nothing like seeing Randy Savage stand on the top rope after an awesome match, cameras flashing in the arena as he prepared to drop his big elbow drop.
6. The Styles Clash
The Styles Clash has been used by other people before but AJ Styles makes it look awesome. Funny how Michelle McCool is using it now.
5. Arn Anderson’s DDT
Arn Anderson is one of my favorite all-time performers and his DDT was one of the, if not the best ever. Nobody could hit it like The Enforcer.
4. The Stinger Splash
My favorite memories of Sting’s Stinger Splash come from the early WCW days. I still think that Sting’s best days were when he rocked the blonde hair and the neon face paint. I’m a huge early WCW mark if you didn’t know.
3. The Vadersault
I’m still a mark for Big Van Vader, a big man who could move and had awesome moonsaults, among other moves.
2. Canadian Destroyer
Easily one of the coolest looking finishers in history. Former TNA wrestler Petey Williams does the Canadian Destroyer and if you haven’t seen it before, check it out.
1. Stone Cold Stunner
Ah yes, the famous Stone Cold Stunner. I remember back in school kids who didn’t even really like wrestling all tried to imitate Steve Austin’s Stunner. Check out some Stunners here.
