Your Batista & Extreme Rules Feedback: High-Low Points, Hog Pen Horror and More

Last night we asked for your thoughts on the injury to Batista and the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Here’s some of what you guys wrote in:

Good riddance to Batista…why give him the WWE title when he is injured? Extreme Rules was great, not a classic but worth the price….CM Punk was a huge surprise… the 4way was sloppy… Cena sucks….Dreamers win was deserving….Santina sucks….Michael Cole sucks…Striker made Dreamer’s win feel more important…Jericho vs. Mysterio was my favorite.

Congratulations CM Punk and Tommy Dreamer! I actually bet my friends money that CM would win the belt tonight and he did. Match of the night for me was Edge-Hardy-Punk and the worse of the night was the Hogpen match.

Hopefully Batista’s injury is fake or something. He’s the new WWE CHAMPION!

Batista’s injury: Same old stuff. Hopefully WWE realizes this and forces him to retire or fires his ass. They just fired Kennedy for being injury prone so hey it makes sense. Get rid of the guy and please dont let Triple H have that belt.

Extreme Rules: One thumbs up. I don’t see why they dont let the main events run a little longer and do away with crap like the Hog match. RAW should be fun. Fave match was the IC title match and least fave was Vickie and Santino which was just horrible.

$40 for that? The only matches worth watching was the main event and the IC title match. Cena Big Show should have been on RAW or ECW for that fact. This was a step above a TNA ppv.

Two thumbs up for tonight’s PPV. Crappiest match of the night was obviously the Hog Pen match. Match of the night I’m stuck on between Rey/Jericho and Edge/Hardy.

Extreme rules brought out some very unexpected results. I was very surprised with a few. The rest were predictable.

- Fatal Four way.
I was hoping for Hardy to win, thus continuing his push. But Kofi Kingston retained, which wasn’t much of a surprise.

-Hog Pen match.
I found it fairly pointless, and the Miss Wrestlemania crown hasn’t gone to one worthy diva yet. Santino winning it back was easy to guess. As we knew Vickie would get slopped badly.

- Jericho vs Mysterio.
I expected Jericho to win, and i was hoping for the unmasking we got it, but a bad camera angle i suppose. A great way to end the match, and i can’t wait to see how this rivalry evolves.

-CM Punk Vs Umaga.
I knew Punk would win this as he didn’t have to pin Umaga to win. So yeah.. the match wasn’t too great but it was okay.

-EcW title match.
I predicted Dreamer winning, and I am happy to see someone who actually worked hard and long for ECW getting a title reign. But to be honest, it makes me a bit annoyed that they had to be kind of forced into making dreamer win. Anyway I don’t see Dreamer having a lengthy title reign.

-Cena vs Big Show.
What’s the point of even watching it, we knew Cena would win. I mean.. Cena has never tapped out now and they like making him look “Invincible”. I would of liked Big Show to win, because he could do that easily.

-WWE Title Match
With the injury the match was cut short, so the match was disappointing. I was quite shocked that Batista won, as it was unexpected. But as Batista is injured he may lose the title by Monday Night. So that pretty much speeds up the return of Triple H.

-World Heavyweight Title match.
It wasn’t the best ladder match, but it had some good spots and i was really into it. Before match i expected Edge to win and Punk cashing in. So when Jeff won I was shocked. As Punk is a face I thought he wouldn’t cash in when Hardy was having his moment. But he surprised me by doing it.

It was a shocking PPV to be fair. 4 World title changes in one night. Very weird, I thought they over-did it at backlash, but this is even more overdone.

Im really looking forward to Raw, as many things will happen im sure.

I just wanted to give a few thoughts about the WWE
Extreme Rules 2009 pay per view.

1-Even though he is reportedly injured I think giving the belt to Batista was a great idea. It possibly sets up Randy Orton snapping tonight on Raw and punting Batista, putting him out of action for a while. This may also set up an Orton rematch win tonight to recapture the title (more than likely involving Legacy or some sort of Triple H interference where he accidentally takes out Batista which could lead to an eventual Batista heel turn when he does return).

2-Giving the title to Jeff Hardy for a few minutes doesn’t make much sense at all. CM Punk cashing in MITB against another face is pointless…unless a CM Punk heel turn is in the works (which would be very interesting). I like the idea of Punk as champ but just think that Edge should have squeaked out a victory against Hardy and then Punk should have taken him out.

3-Jericho winning the IC title works for me. He and Mysterio both bring back prestige and credibility to the title. I like the whole unmasking of Rey story line.

4-Just a random thought but what is happening with The Brian Kendrick and his tag team partner search? It was going well for 2 weeks and then was scrapped last week? And where in the hell is Kane????

My opinion of yesterday?s Extreme Rules is the following:

* USA Championship: Not bad but I really don?t like Kofi as a Champion, I think that one of the following wrestlers are much better, Shelton, Morrison, MVP, Cody Rhodes or Ted Dibiase

* Intercotinental Championship: Nice match, Jericho did a Great mic job, good ending

* Miss Wrestlemania: It completely sucked, come on WWE has amazing Divas and they are doing this, please make them stop, Crown Mickie in a match against Beth

* ECW Championship: Good match

* WWE Championship: Awful, first of all Randy was the Champion I?m getting tired the if the Champion it?s a heel he looks weaker than the Challenger, come on I think Randy is one of the greatest wrestlers in the company with a lot of technic and moves much better tham Batista but only because Batista looks stroger he wins.
I?m also getting tired that it looks that Randy will win and he tries the Punt and he looses, come on be more creative at least if Randy will loose, make him loose in a great match and not with the missed punt stuff.
Also I read Batista was injured, if that?s so why the hell he won?

* John Cena vs Big Show: I?m getting really tired that WWE thinks Cena is Superman, he has no technic, no moves come on he can sometimes loose clean with other wrestlers than HHH.

* World Heavyweight Championship: AMAZING both Hardy and Edge were great, the ending could be better than had Edge stucked in the ladder but great match, I just can?t understand why with such great, match they send Punk to cash MITB
