- Frank Lester, who was a member of Dan Henderson’s Team U.S.A. on the most recent “Ultimate Fighter,” has been released. After losing to James Wilks in the opening round of the tournament, Lester was given a second chance when Jason Pierce was pulled from the competition by Dana White. Lester got a victory over Dave Faulkner to set up a semi-final rematch with Wilks, which he lost.

Lester fought Team UK member Nick Osipczak on the undercard at this past Saturday’s live Finale. Lester lost via submission in the first round, and as a result he has been released by the UFC.

- Five Ounces of Pain is reporting that the UFC legal department recently sent an email detailing additional clothing sponsors that will be banned from being worn by fighters at UFC 100. The email lists Dethrone, One More Round, and Rolling Stone, who join online Poker sponsors Full Tilt Poker, Ultimate Bet, and Party Poker as banned from advertising.

Apparently, in order to sponsor a fighter on a UFC telecast, the sponsoring company must first pay a unofficial licensing fee, which is reported to be as high as $100,000 to the UFC. Many clothing companies are now concerned on their ability to be able to generate income for their fighters with this new fee.
