Did Ryback, Cena-Ziggler and The Shield Help TLC PPV Buys?, Updated 4Q Numbers

- According to new data from WWE, the 2012 TLC pay-per-view with John Cena vs. Dolph Ziggler plus Ryback, Kane and Daniel Bryan vs. Seth Rollins, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns did an estimated total of 170,000 buys. Here are updated estimated pay-per-view numbers from WWE’s 2012 fourth quarter:

* Hell In a Cell – 200,000
* Survivor Series – 212,000
* TLC – 170,000

    PPV buys and Ratings for TV don’t mean squat unless you include GLOBAL buys and ratings. No WWE title match didn’t help TLC either.

      Actually when over they announce a PPV buy it usually internationally and domestically

    WWE would be better off setting TLC for a lower price since it is usually a week before Christmas. This year was the first time in years a TLC match was really violent again. If they make TLC a 6 man or 8 man team vs team match every year. Buys will go up if its more violent.

    Oh you mean the two PPVs where Punk was in the main event (HIAC and Survivor Series) sold more than the one where Cena main evented and Punk wasn’t even in a match? Well…what does this tell you?

      I hope they actually acknowledge this. God knows they would if it were Cena not on the TLC PPV.

        Yeah Punk = PPV buys Rock = high TV ratings and even more PPV buys. Cena = nothing special really

    Just think how much lower the buys would be if Punk wrestled?
