Main Event for Elimination Chamber, WWE DVD Updates, Live Attendance, Web Traffic

- WWE’s live events averaged 6,210 paid fans for the month of December 2012.

- WWE shipped 444,000 DVD’s during December 2012, up 52%. The most shipped DVD’s as of late are WrestleMania 28 with 237,000 units, CM Punk with 120,000 units, NWO Revolution with 106,000 units and the Attitude Era set with 105,000 units.

- WWE’s website had 11 million unique visitors in December 2012, down 5%. Their shop website averaged 1,903 merchandise orders per day in December 2012, up due to the Christmas holiday.

- The 30-man WWE Royal Rumble match was originally scheduled to main event last Sunday’s pay-per-view but that obviously got switched out in favor of The Rock vs. CM Punk. They are expected to main event Elimination Chamber also.

Elimination Chamber is fine for them to main event because it’s only been around for a few years, but the RR PPV has been around for more than 25 years. I don’t think ANY match should go in the Main Event of the Royal Rumble PPV except the Royal Rumble match.

  Plus this year there will be only ONE elimination chamber match and it will be for the #1 contendership for WHC, so……

  The reason why it did not surprise me is because it is The Rock winning the title so they want that to be this big deal to end on. Plus, they have done it before so it was not that shocked. I hated Cena winning the whole thing more than the Rumble not main eventing.

    that includes the year rey mysterio jr won it. I was at that event and Kurt Angle vs Mark Henry for the World Title was the main event. After Kurt won the match, lightning hit the ring and it collapsed. Then Undertaker appeared and signaled that he was coming for the belt to close the show. Cena vs Edge for the title might have also been after the rumble, but I dont remember.
