- Former WWE Champion “Psycho” Sid Vicious appeared on the Monday Night Mayhem show this week and spoke about returning to WWE. The hosts asked him if we would see him back in WWE in 2008 and he answered by saying he really hopes so. Sid said that after his leg injury at the WCW Sin pay-per-view in 2001, he set a goal for himself to return to the ring and be remembered in a much better way. Sid said returning to WWE would be a great opportunity and he thinks he will get that sometime by the end of the year.
Sid also said he received a few calls from TNA about coming into the company but told them it was “nothing personal” about him not wanting to go there. He said he wanted to be on the main stage again, working the main event in 80,000 seat arenas and that’s something “you could never do in TNA.” Sid used Kurt Angle recently losing his Olympic Gold Medals to AJ Styles in a match as an example of why he would not go to TNA.
