WWE SmackDown/ECW Live
9/29/2008 - Stevens Point, WI

Here are some quick notes: There were about 3000 people there, although I am not good with head counts. Teddy Long opened the show telling us to text whether we’d like to see the ECW title match be a Falls Count Anywhere, No DQ or 2 Out Of 3 Falls match.

The opening match was Jesse and Festus beating Ryder and Hawkins.

Michelle McCool and Eve beat Maryse and Natalya with Maria as the special ref.

Brian Kendrick beat Jimmy Yang.

Vladamir Kozlov beat Jeff Hardy which really deflated the crowd.

Finlay beat Jack Swagger. After the match, Finlay and Hornswoggle brought kids into the ring to dance, really cool to see all the happy kids. This was followed by intermission.

Shelton Benjamin beat R-Truth and MVP by pinning R-Truth.

For the ECW title match, Matt Hardy beat Mark Henry in a No DQ match. Tony Atlas is truly priceless to watch.

Then the main event, The Undertaker beat Big Show with the gogoplata.

That was the show. The two advertised main events were Undertaker and Triple H vs. MVP and Khali, and Jeff Hardy vs. Shelton Benjamin but obviously, those were changed. I can’t believe how over Matt Hardy and the Undertaker are…very, very loud cheers for both. Overall a decent, but uneventful show.
