WWE is currently taping this week’s edition of Friday Night SmackDown from the Mellon Arena in Pittsburgh, Pennslyvania. Special thanks to readers Casey and Tyler for text-messaging the following results.

* A WrestleMania XXIV video package is shown.

* Lots of “WOOOO” chants.

Dark Match:

* FCW’s Jake Hager defeated Jamie Noble. Hager got the win via pinfall. Noble took a hard hit to his neck.

* Funaki b. Nick Nemeth. Funaki got the win with a roll up. Solid overall match.

WWE SmackDown: (Airing This Week)

* The Undertaker cuts a promo in the ring, saying Vickie Guerrero is “Unforgiven.” He said she will burn in hell and he will have her soul. The ring posts went up in flames and remained on fire as Taker made his exit.

* R-Truth debuted and defeated Kenny Dykstra. They did an angle where Kenny was mad he didn’t get any vignettes like Truth. R-Truth shoots back and gets a major pop from the fans. Huge upperhand by Killings. Killings wins with a scissor kick. Afterwards, the crowd was chanting for “tables.”

* HHH vs. Shelton Benjamin is announced as tonight’s main event, not the HHH vs. Khali as first advertised.

* Backstage, Vickie Guerrero freaks out and breaks a phone.

* WWE Divas Champion Michelle McCool got into it with Maryse backstage.

* Maryse and Natalya Neidhart defeated Maria and Michelle McCool when Maryse DDT’d Maria to get the pinfall. The heels then laid out McCool.

* We get a video package for MVP and Jeff Hardy. Jeff Hardy is backstage with Eve. He says he is going to beat MVP.

* Jeff Hardy defeated MVP. Hardy got the win via pinfall after hitting a swanton bomb off the top rope.  After the match Shelton Benjamin comes out to the ring and attacks Hardy & MVP.

* Several players from the Pittsburgh Steelers are shown on camera.

* Jesse & Festus vs. Curt Hawkins & Zack Ryder. The match ends in disqualification when the Big Show runs out and cleans house. He calls it an “oversight.”

* Bri Bella (from FCW’s Bella Twins) b. Victoria. Bella got the win via pinfall.

* The Brian Kendrick cuts a promo backstage with Ezekiel Jackson.

* WWE Champion Triple H defeated United States Champion Shelton Benjamin by pinfall. The Great Khali came down the ramp, Shelton distracted The Game and tried to go for the finisher, but missed and Triple H put him in the Pedigree for the win.
