During a media stop to promote UFC 202, Conor McGregor continued to take verbal jabs at some WWE superstars. This time, the UFC featherweight champion went after John Cena.
“What’s the main guy? John Cena,” said McGregor. “He’s 40. He’s 40 years of age. He’s walking around in a luminous orange t-shirt and a headband talking about nobody can see him. We can see him right there. He’s a big fat, 40-year-old failed Mr. Olympia mother f—er.”
This follows last week’s comments, when McGregor called WWE wrestlers a bunch of “messed up p—ies. Several wrestlers responded to McGregor on social media, even challenging him to a fight. The most vocal was WWE Hall of Famer Ric Flair.
McGregor already has his hands full, taking on Nate Diaz at UFC 202 on August 20. It’s a rematch from UFC 196, where Diaz submitted McGregor in the second round to give the brash Irish superstar his first UFC defeat.
