Due to medical reasons, effective immediately, I am announcing my retirement. Tonight on Raw, I’ll have a chance to elaborate. #gratitude

Damn! Thank you D Bry for the memories!

  • Jakerams

Not a fan of Daniel Bryan but he was a good in ring wrestler I’ll give him that. If he’s actually serious then WWE just lost a great talent.

I liked him in the ring, but the best decision all round, otherwise he could easily end up in the same state as Thomas Billington

We all knew this was coming!

Vince seriously needs to step down.

    • Lisa

Triple H is even worse. He would run WWE to the ground.

      • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??

        How is he even worse?

        • Lisa

He doesn’t have what it takes. Don’t let NXT fool you. There’s daylight between NXT and the main roster.

          • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??

Triple H is an egotistal and divisive figure. The day Vince dies will mark the beginning of the end for WWE. Mark my words.

          • MikeLo #NewNation

What does that “D” word mean lol

      • It Begins kid

        Do you even watch NXT?

        • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??

“She” will probably say that NXT is horrible to watch lol

          • It Begins kid

            Lol

        • Lisa

NXT is an overrated Indy show. Triple H wouldn’t be able to run the main roster like Vince does.
If Shane were still around I would trust him more for the job.

      • Edynol

You obviously have no clue about about WWE, HHH, and what goes on backstage. If Vince had his way, Cena would be champ right now, divas would still be giving bathroom break matches, and a good chunk of the roster would still be in NXT while older guys and part timers still hog the spotlight.

        • Lisa

The day Vince dies WWE will die with him. You’ll remember my words.

I don’t even think it’ll be next year

            Maybe in 10 years

Hes just leaving WWE he will wrestle again in RoH or Japan

i think it’s over. wwe network probably has a job for him.

        Or the performance center…..

  • Lisa

I said it, didn’t I? Unfortunately no one believed me.

You have got to be one of the worst people I have ever seen. A man is retiring because he got injured and instead of saying thank you for all he has done for the industry you just act like he is a piece of crap that needs to go away. You really need become a better person.

      • Edynol

She’s a moron. Everyone here knows this. She’s jealous of everyone who becomes popular because she the most irrelevant person on here that no one takes seriously.

  • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??

I had hoped that he didn’t retire because of this but nonetheless he had a great career. Thanks for the memories D-Bry!

  • It Begins kid

Would like to see DBryan join the commentary team.

    • ‘Drowen Hart #NewNation ??

Would be way better than JBL and Byron lol

      • It Begins kid

and Michael all 3 combined lol

  • Josh

Thank you D-Bry. Will be staying Raw tonight to see you address hometown crowd.

What if this was just a ruse? Since they like to use real life stuff in their storylines and used the underdog/B+ player issue with the Authority, what if they try to use the contract issue? So Daniel Bryan comes out and gets a big ass pop and starts to tell his story, then either Vince or HHH comes down and says that he can’t retire, due to the fact that he still owes them time. Of course there will be some barbs sent back and forth and eventually the livelihood of both Bryan and Brie are in peril, unless Bryan wrestles for the Authority, or he has to wrestle at Fastlane for the job security for his wife.
I’m hoping this is all a swerve and that he continues to wrestle safely. He just needs to stop doing moves that allows him to land on his head. If he’s sincerely retiring, then I really hope that he and his wife has a great life together.

  • SoCalfool

    Thank you Bryan

  • xXwindsofchangeXx

If this really is it, I hope they offer to make him a trainer at the PC. And I hope he takes him up on it.

  • The Shockmaster

    Thank you Bryan!

  • Z….

Congratulations to Bryan Danielson on an amazing career all over the world. He finally made it to the show, got over incredibly, creating a movement of which only matches or exceeds any other prior similar instance, and broke through the glass ceiling. He worked in empty parking lots and gyms, and then in front of 70 thousand people when he headlined Wrestlemania. Having seen him long before he got to WWE (He was one of the people that kept me watching in the early 2000s and into the mid 2000s when I stopped caring about WWE and turned my attention towards the real industry on the indies), that was really cool to see. Truly deserving of everything he made for himself. Its a shame his career had to end with the injuries, but he will go out knowing he was an all time great.

Classy move by Vince to let him go out there and talk. He gave him time out there, and they went over by half an hour. He got a chance to go out in his hometown, and it was a great moment to cap a career anyone that knows the “American Dragon” Bryan Danielson will truly miss, but not as much as he’ll miss doing it. Also knowing about who he is outside the ring, I wish him the best in his endeavors
