To start with, Bayley took the mic and thanked Balor for everything he did in bringing NXT from goodness to greatness. The enthusiastic crowd harmonized the gratitude with chants of reverence.
Once Balor took the mic, he parried all the praise and redirected it towards his fellow performers. He acknowledged that it was a team effort in taking the NXT product to a new level and credited the likes of the American Alpha, Samoa Joe, Carmella, Shinsuke Nakamura, Mojo Rawley and Nia Jax.
Balor also made special mention to the one he felt was the most instrumental in propelling NXT to new heights. That man was performance center coach Matt Bloom, better known in the mainstream wrestling psyche by names like A-Train or Prince Albert.
