The video highlights the “backstage brawl” aspect of the gameplay. Having recently made somewhat of a resurgence, backstage brawls were a hallmark of 90’s and early 2000’s wrestling and was one of the geek freak features in the Nintendo 64 game, No Mercy. #DigDigDiggityDigDiggityDog #BreakIt
Nostalgia to the bone like fibromyalgia.
The new game looks, well,¬†new, in comparison to that high water mark of wrestling games from the¬†tail end¬†of the Attitude Era. Weapons are not, for example, found by reaching over the barricade into the audience. Not that fans don’t always have lead pipes and broken, jagged pieces of wood handy for an assist in hardcore matches… Weapons are found under the ring now…?
Weird. Oh well. Onward and upward.
