John Morrison on Relationship with WWE & Returning

Former WWE Superstar John Morrison spoke to Ring Rust Radio on his relationship with WWE and if he’d want to return to the company.

“My impression is that the door is open,” Morrison said. “I originally got into wrestling because it was my first love, since I was a little kid it was what I wanted to do. And I still haven’t found anything quite as cool as wrestling… It’s something I’m going to get back to. The other question was is a return immanent, and I don’t know.

“I’m shuffling through a bunch of things and I have a bunch of things that I want to accomplish in the movie biz before I go back to wrestling full time. Once you’re on that full-time schedule, you don’t really have control of your own time. But I am definitely coming back at some point.”

Morrison also said he’d like to work with Damien Sandow, Seth Rollins, Antonio Cesaro and Fandango.

John Morrison is very athletic and Skilled in the ring. If he could just polish up his Mic work a little I could see him winning MITB one day and becoming WHC

  • Mrs. Ambrose

    I hope he comes back

  • Dorie Ann Pope

I’d love to see him back and in WWE. Imagine the matches he could have with Punk and Bryan and Ziggler just to name a few at this point in his career without that “ex” causing him so many problems.

    • Mrs. Ambrose

I don’t think that they will want Melina back anytime soon?

      • Dorie Ann Pope

No I don’t either to be honest. If some of the rumors alone are true then can’t say I blame them.

        • Mrs. Ambrose

Yeah because Melina dug a hole for herself in the wwe

  • jcice13

LOL really? he’d like to work with those guys? I bet he would cause that would mean he would be in the WWE again, can’t blame him for that..with that being said I would think he’d be a welcome addition to the line-up, why did they get rid of him in the first place? and why didn’t TNA grab him up immediately after his no compete clause? that has to say something right?

Morrison never got into serious talks with TNA, because he still wants a shot at being booked half-decent if he ever comes back to WWE. Guys that bolt to TNA from WWE may get to come back to WWE, but they’re pretty much permanently in the doghouse to some extent. Just ask Christian. Instead, he went overseas to ply his wrestling craft. (He also wrestled Shelton Benjamin at one point in the Philippines… I would have paid money to see that match.) And he’s taken up acting as well.

that’s ridiculous, first off christian has been pushed like crazy the last 2 months and RVD, you remember him?, is in all probability going to be after ADR’s belt, the only guy that comes to mind who didn’t get a big push was Nash and he was at the end of the line. so those bones in that dog house still have a lot of meat on them

Christian’s been pushed like crazy ‘the last two months.’ He’s been back with WWE how long? Never mind that he’s been one of the most consistent in-ring performers week in and week out. I’m not saying guys can’t get back into the company’s good graces. But at this stage of his career and with his talent level, Christian’s world title resume should read a hell of a lot better than two token reigns – one of which lasted less than a week and where he lost the title on free TV as opposed to the dignity of dropping it on PPV. The second, he couldn’t be taken seriously because WWE was forcing him to play a b!tchy heel. Which, admittedly, he did a good job at doing, but he got screwed over with that feud with Randy Orton and then essentially got demoted to the IC Title afterward. Now, I admit, it’s been a bit better in the last couple of years – probably owing to the fact that Trips has been making a lot more decisions, and he’s got the sense not to hold petty grudges like that.

    Morrison vs. Fandango

I must be the only one who finds that PPV worthy. Of course it could give Fandango a proper feud.

    • Warren Roby

It would be an awesome feud! If written and allowed to grow, could be a BIG MONEY feud!

  • Devon

Jo Mo for WWE fuckin champ

  • james

John Morrision and the sleazeball Joey Ryan for Tag Team Champs! (They are great friends in real life!!!!)

  • Fernando Oliveira

Can you imagine John Morrison and Seth Rollins in the same ring. Dream match written all over it !

    • Mrs. Ambrose

What about them being a Tag Team Champions?

    • xXwindsofchangeXx

My vote would be for a Morrison/Ziggler match, personally. Or how about a match series? Best of, say… 9?

  • Guest

John Morrison sh*t on his own doorstep. Vince was giving him WWE Championship matches and pay-per-view main events, and JoMo ruined it all with his bad attitude.

  • Reverend Scurvy

I would love to see Morrison come back to team with Fandango.

A return isn’t ‘immanent’ (whatever that word means…) but is it imminent??

OH the grammar and spelling Nazi’s are out on patrol!! Don’t criticise comment posters unless their grammar is so poor you cannot actually read what they type, but in the article itself? Weak, dude…
