Ken Anderson On His Release From WWE, Chris Benoit, And Vince McMahon

Former WWE star Ken Anderson spoke with Chris Van Vliet before the Legends of Wrestling event at Miccosukee Resort and Gaming last week.

Anderson told a story during the interview about how he was scheduled to win the WWE World Heavyweight Title from The Undertaker at a SmackDown TV taping in 2007 after winning the Money in the Bank briefcase at WrestleMania 23, but those plans changed after he suffered an arm injury at an RAW TV taping. At the time, it was believed that he tore his tricep, but he learned later that he just bruised it really bad. WWE already made the choice to have him drop the Money in the Bank briefcase, and Edge went on to cash-in on Taker.

Anderson also said that he made a lot of mistakes throughout his WWE career and being outspoken about Chris Benoit got him a lot of heat within the company.

    I miss him

Isn’t there a difference between the world heavyweight championship and wwe world heavyweight championship?

    • DevilBorn

The world heavyweight title was the old WCW title. And the WWE world heavyweight title was made when they merged the wwe and wcw world titles together.

    • The Shockmaster

Yes, the WHC dates back to 2002 until it was unified with the WWE Championship in 2013. However to keep things simple, WWE retrospectively refers to both championships as the WWE World Heavyweight Championship

That diagram is more confusing than Ziggler’s gag-worthy storyline with Lana, Summer Rae and Rusev… and Tyler Breeze’s main roster booking…combined.

That’s what I thought. I know a lot about wrestling history and some people might not know the difference.

    • Joseph Lisnow

this question would create a debate that last for years.
