Monday Night Raw (8/15/2016) Results: Brock Lesnar Returns, Demon King Arrives

Wrestlenewz brings you live play-by-play coverage of tonight’s WWE Monday Night Raw broadcast. Pre-show starts at 7:30 pm EST and the main show at 8 pm EST. Monday Night Raw: 8 pm EST

Show opens up with Seth Rollins standing by a palm tree, proselytizing about himself being the man. He looks side to side focusing on nothing in particular and calls out The Demon King, Finn Balor. After no Demon King materializes out of thin air, he decides he will go looking for him.

Rusev and Lana are in the ring. The Bulgarian brute says that there will be no Raw show tonight until Roman Reigns comes out and apologizes for destroying their wedding last week. Mick Foley’s music hits and out comes the hardcore legend. Foley says Rusev is holding up the show and that he must leave. Rusev refuses and says that he’s changed his mind about Foley being a good General Manager. He actually sucks, says Rusev.

Rusev calls for Stephanie McMahon to come out and deal with this situation. Steph’s music hits and out she comes. Steph starts putting Rusev on blast and berates him for acting foolish and disrespecting a legend like Mick Foley. Rusev says he’ll have to give Daniel Bryan and Shane ‘O a call because they appreciate talent. Reigns’ music hits and he comes out cutting a promo. He says if an apology will end this, then so be it. Reigns apologizes for the website that Rusev and Lana met on. He’s sorry about the ugly Saskquatch they will spawn.

Rusev calls Reigns out for never getting over with the crowd. Reigns doesn’t want to wait until Summerslam and the two superstars go nose to nose being held apart by Foley and Steph. Foley makes a match for later. He says Summerslam will be about the US title but tonight will be about Lana’s honor. Reigns and Rusev in the main event.

Brock Lesnar is advertised and will be making an appearance tonight. Rollins is still looking for Balor as they advertise the Colonel’s KFC Universal Championship match.

Singles Match: Sheamus vs. Sami Zayn

Zayn and Sheamus start to tussle like a couple rabid dogs. Cesaro joins the broadcast table. Irish Whip and Zayn hits a Hurricanrana. Sheamus rolls to the outside and Zayn tries to fly. He winds up being caught and rammed spine square on the ring post. Break for corporate solicitation.

Back again and Sheamus is getting his set in on Zayn. Irish whip and Sheamus hits a power slam. A Zayn reversal and Sheamus has his momentum used against him and is thrown outside. Sheamus prevents Zayn from flying high again and hits a sling of clubbing blows onto Zayn’s chest while standing on the apron. Sheamus hits an Irish Curse but Zayn kicks out. Corey Graves admits that Sheamus looks pretty stupid.

Zayn goes for the Helluva Kick but gets reversed. Sheamus is stalking as Zayn is selling. Cesaro excuses himself and a mic is heard dropping. Cesaro is successful in distracting Sheamus and Zayn blind sides him with a Helluva Kick. Zayn pins Sheamus and gets the 3 count.

Winner: Sami Zayn
