Close to the 3.0 they wanted but not close enough.

I’m glad Super Cena fell short of their expectations, even with Shawn helping. Perhaps if Bryan were also the new WWE Champion, it would have pushed it above the 3.0 mark.

I doubt it. Casual fans don’t perceive Bryan, Punk, Orton or even Michaels as stars. WWE has diligently educated viewers for the better part of the last decade that Cena is the only star they have. Everything was pinned on him, and he failed to get the 3.0 rating.

The second half of 2011 is the only time a Superstar surpassed Cena in star power…and Triple H instantly returned to throw a wet blanket on that. Remind you of anything recently?

Lol, Jeez man, did you even look at the ratings? What part of the show featured Cena? The beginning. And what part of the show got the highest rating? The beginning. HHH is telling us that Orton is an A+ and as WWE Champ, The Man, but apparently Cena’s stuff is what carried the rating this week. It was very well executed too.

Agree with your other comment about HHH, but you make no sense here and it’s funny that so many people gave that a thumbs up just because they don’t like Cena… or, to be fair, because you said it may have been higher with Bryan as champion, which IS a valid point, considering what I said above about Orton.
