More on TNA’s Return to Universal, Dixie Carter on Future Plans

The Orlando Sentinel has an article up looking at TNA Impact Wrestling’s return to Universal Studios. It notes that admission will still be free for the Soundtage 19 tapings on November 21st, 22nd and 23rd. The tapings begin at 7pm EST.

Universal Orlando spokeman Tom Schroder said in a release:

“TNA Wrestling is a longtime friend of ours, and we’re excited they are back. Our guests love being able to attend the shows and this is a perfect fit for our production business.”

Dixie Carter also commented:

“The way that people view television has dramatically shifted, and it is incumbent upon us to deliver a modern, revolutionized way of watching professional wrestling to our fans. In making Orlando’s Universal Studios our programming hub, we have the powerful combination of state-of-the art production facilities and incredible soundstages that will make it easier for us to launch this new production-intensive initiative. We will also be working with Universal to develop new and creative ways for park guests and fans from around the world to experience a unique TNA attraction.”

The article confirms that TNA will look to occasionally tape Impact from other cities. It also confirms that Universal will be the primary training facility for TNA wrestlers.

So to cut through Dixie’s trumped up statement, basically TNA cannot make it out on the road. Dixie you can keep trying to shine that turd called TNA but at the end of the day it’s still a turd and will remain a turd as long as your family is in charge of it.

Wasn’t it Hogan and Bischoffs idea to take them on the road? Also did no one do the math before hand that would have told them that they clearly didn’t have enough money to do it

      • TrollNonstopAction

They had the money, that’s the problem. Prichard’s booking and handling of talent relations was atrocious, while a few tapings got good attendances the product was bad enough to drive people away.
And not enough promotion of the tapings by far.

Don’t know/don’t care at the end of the day it all falls on the OWNERS to make that decision no matter what anyone suggests to you. And with owners like the Carters TNA has NO CHANCE IN HELL of making it!
