Rey Mysterio on WWE Return & Retirement

Rey Mysterio spoke with WWE.com about how he didn’t have surgery but instead used stem cell treatment for his injury. Mysterio also confirmed that he will be appearing during WWE’s tour of Mexico this week, but will likely not be wrestling.

“With this new procedure, it’s been floating around in the air,” Mysterio said. “There’s not that much time left before the end of the year. I’m hoping that either Thanksgiving comes a little early or Christmas comes a little early.”

Mysterio also mentioned that he might “try” to get physically involved during the tour. As for retirement, Mysterio said that he hasn’t given it any thought, and while it’s something “that’ll be down the road,” he has no plans to retire in the next two to three years.

Good for rey. He is missed in wwe.

    • TheRealish

All he has to do is take it easy or he could get the same type of deal RVD has.

      • Jaydn Lebsanft

that deal would be perfect for him

Not too old to retire he is just 38. RVD is 43 and is so solid .

But RVD hasn’t been on the sidelines for virtually all of the last 2 years – Rey’s knees are so messed up now, I doubt WWE will even push him as they cannot afford for him to be out again as soon as he gets a half decent push.

Rey used to be great, I believe he can put on a decent match with anyone, but he cannot be relied upon to be healthy to do it every week.
