Steve Austin Calls Titus O’Neil’s Actions Inappropriate

WWE Hall of Fame
The WWE has come under fire after suspending Titus O’Neil due to the closing moments of the RAW when Daniel Bryan gave his retirement speech. WWE Hall of Famer Steve Austin agrees with the decision.
“He gets jerked pretty forcibly over there to Titus O’Neil and it was completely inappropriate,” said Austin. “This may be pro wrestling/sports entertainment, whatever you want to call it, but that was a serious moment. It’s not a time to be shucking and jiving out there, so lay some type of punishment down. Fine him, this, that, or whatever. I don’t know. Something was appropriate, but when I started hearing the racism things, I was like, ‘I’ve got to roll my eyes and I’ve got to call complete and utter bulls– in this one.’”

Originally O’Neil was suspended for 90 days, which was cut to 60 days. As for the length of the suspension, Austin thinks 30 days would have sufficed. As a result, O’Neil will miss the big WrestleMania payoff.

Totally agree with Austin. I rolled my eyes as that too. What he did was stupid and no way to treat your boss.

Right on the money. Was the punishment disproportionate? Absolutely. But it was a punishable offence.

Thank you for confirming what I’ve always been saying. Stupid IWC trolls don’t seem to notice it for some reason.

It was inappropriate but to me it still doesn’t warrant a suspension…

It’s not racist. It was no time for, as Austin put it, “shucking and jiving”. Which in and of itself is a seriously racist term. Might not be looked upon as much today, but still means the same as it always has. First time since he retired that I have honestly really disliked the dickbag.

Austin disagrees with someone’s actions of touching the boss…….. Hmm. He only hit him 61998059272793949 times

Going by the script, yes. Like he was supposed to do. Otherwise it is assault like what O’Neil did.
