The Rock Lands Lead Role in Upcoming WWE Studios Film

As noted earlier, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson was negotiating to play the lead character in a feature film adaptation of 1970s action series “The Fall Guy.” According to PWInsider, the parties have come to terms, and The Rock is now officially on tap for the lead role.

The film is being co-produced by WWE Studios, making it the first production under that banner Johnson has starred in since WWE created their own Studio.

the rocks acting career downfall :(

    • D.M.T

This is not the downfall of The Great One’s career. The Rock has a Legends Contract with WWE, he can make special appearances whenever he wants or he can wrestle whenever he wants or he can make movies for WWE’s movie division if he wants to. The Great One is willing to help WWE’s movie division and you should respect him for that.

If his acting career is a downfall then, why is some of his movies are box office hits.

    • Chelsii?

      It had a rise?

      • Mrs. Ambrose

        Yes his career is rising.

      • Bignic

Not surprise by this comment. Your just a hater.

        • Mrs. Ambrose

          My point exactly.

      • Bignic

News flash if the rock had such a bad movie career he wouldn’t be getting so much work.

  • D.M.T

It’s about time The Great One makes a movie for WWE Studios. WWE’s movie division has been a failure so far. Their movies do bad at theaters which is why a lot of them go straight to DVD and they don’t even sell a lot of DVDs. Now they can be more successful thanks to The Rock.

    • Chelsii?

The biased stench from your mouth is overwhelming, if you really think Dwayne will actually turn their movies a profit, you’ve got to be stupid.

      • SdotC

Are you even American? Do you know how our movie industry works? WWE Studios could produce a film called “Brad Pitt sh!ts for two hours”, and as long as Brad Pitt is in the movie, it’s going to turn a profit. Rock had a killer year at the box office, and no only is it a huge coo for him to be in a WWE film, but it’s also a way for him to give back, which is always nice. YOUR bias is the one that smells. And I can smell it here from my small home in New York.

And as for your other comment, yeah, it had quite the rise. Do you think The Rundown and the Tooth Fairy made the same money as GI Joe, Fast 5 or Pain and Gain? Damn, Chelsii, sometimes you seem cool, but you always ruin it soon after by being the biggest hater on Earth (next to Lisa). You’re the textbook fan who gives the IWC a bad rep. When Vince says to himself “those internet nerds don’t know anything, they think the only talented people on my roster are the guys Bryan, Punk, Ziggler, and Ambrose”, he uses your posts for confirmation.

        • D.M.T

Couldn’t have said it better myself. Thanks for putting Chelsii in her place. And no…she’s not American, she’s British.

          • SdotC

LOL! Thanks. Well that makes perfect sense… someone who has no clue what they’re talking about speaking as if it’s fact, and doing so in the rudest way possible. Ah, the IWC. I know plenty of Brits, and they usually aren’t that ignorant lol. A bit narrow-minded in my experience, to be honest, but not usually the kind of people to insult things that they have NO IDEA about.

          • SdotC

I like how I got downvoted for saying that someone in the UK probably wouldn’t be up to speed on what America’s box office numbers look like, especially when saying that Rock bombs at the box office is a pretty good indicator. Wasn’t trying to rub anyone the wrong way.

      • Devon

        Lol!!! True!!!

  • D-INCARNATION

    Would we/he expect anything less…..

  • KingBack

A WWE movie that people would care about.. How nice.
