Tyler Breeze’s Push, Rusev’s Knee Injury

– Tyler Breeze’s WWE push has quickly slowed after a quick start with Dolph Ziggler. The Wrestling Observer Newsletter stated how Triple H wanted Breeze to be a big deal. Once he debuted, Vince McMahon wasn’t convinced and the push ended.

– The knee injury that Rusev suffered wasn’t bad, as he’s in New Delhi for the upcoming live events. Rusev’s only been out since last Sunday, though he did appear for the opening segment of RAW.

Unless you’re muscular and handsome. Then it doesn’t matter if you are poor on the mic, don’t connect with fans, and have a limited moveset.

Come on, did anybody think Tyler’s character had a chance? If it didn’t work for Fandango and Adam Rose, why would it work on this guy?

Because a crapload of other guys have made more than solid careers starting out as a narcissistic, pretty-boy heel. Tyler’s problem is the camera and selfie stick. They came out after 2000 so Vince doesn’t know WTF they are. And when he doesn’t know WTF something is, he dismisses it.

Didn’t Tyler say that he came up with the gimmick? I’m sure he said that on a video package I saw a while ago.

    • siddus

Precisely. Despite all his talent, I knew Tyler Breeze would fail on the main roster solely for that reason. The gimmick is doomed to fail once it comes under Vince’s microscope.

The problem with this guy is his character in my opinion. He should come back to NXT and find a new gimmick.

  • Philip Hollett

Not surprised about Breeze. The pretty boy, vain guy gimmick has been done a million times to death. No different from Buff Bagwell, Rick Martell, Rick Rude, John Morrision, HBK, Dolph Ziggler, Lex Luger and many many more.
