Why WWE Likely Won’t Punish CM Punk, Why JBL Is on SmackDown, More

– Here is another local news video on the CM Punk fan incident:

– Davey Boy Smith Jr. (David Hart Smith) and Lance Archer won the IWGP Tag Team Titles from Hiroyoshi Tenzan and Satoshi Kojima in Tokyo, Japan on October 8th as New Japan Pro Wrestling held their first-ever internet pay-per-view. The rematch will take place on November 11th in Osaka.

– The reported reason JBL is working SmackDown this week in place of Michael Cole is because Cole is now doing Main Event on Wednesday nights. No word yet if they will keep the same announce teams next week.

– We noted before that when the CM Punk fan incident first happened at RAW, people in the company expected consequences. Now a lot of people are questioning why no disciplinary action has been taken, noting that in the past wrestlers have gotten in a lot of trouble for hitting fans. It’s unlikely that anything will happen to Punk right now because WWE can’t afford to have him off the road.

You didn’t expect Punk to be punished, did you? In WWE, there are two sets of rules. One for the top stars and the other for the undercarders. For instance, do you think Randy Orton would still be employed by WWE were it not for his status as one of the company’s top dogs? Had Punk attacked a fan two years ago, the consequences would have been savere and immediate. He would have received a lengthy suspension, or even fired.

  • Kevin

Punk is the best in the WWE. they can’t punish the best.

Lol Josh Matthews has a win over JBL and the cabinet from when he teamed with Booker, commentary is gonna be hilarious this week.

  • GN-0015

Top stars are treated in a different manner. Just ask Triple H and Shawn Michaels about the MSG incident.

  • Manny

HHH wasn’t considered top talent at the time of the MSG incident.

  • rob

^^ Which is why he got buried..

  • bomb

Why would he be punished? He was attacked and retaliated. This is pro wrestling and this kind of thing happens every once in a while. WWE was the one at fault here for not having proper security around him.

Pro wrestling is not for pussies.

  • Fritz

no shit Manny, that’s why you should ask them about the difference.

  • Jay

I’m sorry but if you watch the whole video, CM Punk gets pushes about 5 to 6 times before hitting the fan. He gets pushed hard twice by a little tween and he knows that he can’t hit him, but is still getting pushed. So when he sees the older fan and gets hits in back of the head, he sets an example.

  • Casey

Unless you folks forgot to watch the video, he hits the wrong guy. That’s why he should be punished.

  • Me

No, Casey, he shouldn’t be punished. Yeah, it was the wrong guy, but considering that the guy who did smack him in the head was hiding like a bitch, behind the man who got hit, there was no way for Punk to know that.
