Backlash Kickoff:

Singles Match: Tye Dillinger vs. Aiden English

English enters hilariously singing a song and starts drawing some heat from the crowd. Before he can perform an encore, Dillinger comes out and the crowd cheers. Bell sounds and they lock up. They transition through some positions as the jockey for control. English yells out, “This is my town!” and the crowd boos loudly. After a moment of confusion, English takes advantage and gets the edge. He starts to implement his offense on Dillinger. Commercial break.

Back again and English stomps Dillinger in the corner. Then he hits a snap mare and puts on a face lock while belting out a few melodic notes. Dillinger starts to come back though. He unleashes his some big blows and then mounts English in the corner and lands 10 punches as the crowd chants along. English manages to make some space and he goes to the the top rope. Dillinger heads him off and throws him back to the mat.

English regains control again and ends up with a pin attempt but Dillinger kicks out. English begins getting emotional and looks about to cry. He hits a scoop slam and goes to the top rope, leaping for a high risk move and hitting nothing but mat as Dillinger moves. Dillinger hits the Tye Breaker and gets the victory.

Winner: Tye Dillinger
