WWE SmackDown (3/28): Roman Reigns vs. The Miz, League Of Nations Falls Apart

WWE Smackdown
Welcome to WrestleNewz’s results from the latest SmackDown. We get the typical video package to open the show, with highlights for this Sunday’s Payback.

WWE Champion Roman Reigns is out and says AJ Styles isn’t fooling anyone about not working with his friends Gallows or Karl Anderson. He wants Styles, but we get The Miz. He takes credit for being the first person to notice how terrible Styles is as a person. Reigns isn’t interested and hits a superman punch on The Miz. He hands Maryse the IC belt and leaves.

League of Nations are in the back and pumping up how they’re stronger without King Barrett.

Sami Zayn, Cesaro & Kalisto vs. League of Nations

Kalisto begins with some kicks to Alberto Del Rio, but he’s quickly isolated and attacked in the corner of the League of Nations. Kalisto tags Zayn, who catches Rusev with a running head scissors, but Sheamus distracts Zayn. This lets Rusev kick Zayn for a two count as signs for a commercial appear. We return to see Del Rio hitting a backstabber on Zayn. Rusev makes the blind tag and Del Rio isn’t happy. Sheamus joins in the argument. Del Rio leaves his team. Sheamus then accidentally strikes Rusev, which results in him leaving too. Sheamus is alone and gets a springboard huracanrana. Cesaro follows with uppercuts. Sheamus does like the other two and leaves. We have a count out ending to start the show and League of Nations look done.

Winners: Sami Zayn, Cesaro & Kalisto via count out
