Dolph Ziggler Frustrated with SummerSlam Match

WWE’s Dolph Ziggler spoke with Arda Ocal prior to SummerSlam last week and expressed his frustration with only having a mixed tag team match at the event, as well as frustration over his character’s stagnation since losing the World Heavyweight Championship.

Ziggler mentions that he envisioned either still holding the World Heavyweight Championship or remaining in the title picture at this point, which doesn’t appear to be the case anymore.

Ziggler also talks about His promo style and how it has evolved from Z! True Long Island Story, You can check out the interview embedded in the video below.

You were hurt, Dolph and they had to do something to not kill the entire angle they had going for you. You will get back there soon, you deserve it and they know it.. be patient goddamn. Plus, would you rather have a nice paycheck and be one of the top guys in the biggest storyline of the year? Or would you rather have an average paycheck for having boring 3 week feuds with whatever is at the bottom of the bucket for the title? Dolph’s biggest flaw, is he’s his own biggest mark.

Patient?? Few exercise as much patience as Dolph has had to – he has been one of the top guys for 3 years and been stuck in the so called mid-card obscurity.

He has paid his dues, the fans are ready to accept him as a top guy. Admittedly sounding off about it wasn’t his best move, that has never worked for Zach Ryder, but Dolph is in a WHOLE other league from him.

If I was Dolph I think I’d be frustrated by now and have had just about enough. for years he has been one of the best and constantly kept down, he was professional about it and kept his head down doing his job, but if WWE don’t push him again now it has gone beyond silly. He needs to be back in the title hunt where he belongs in the VERY near future.

    • Macho Man

Disagree my friend. Dolph’s stock was never higher than when he won the title from Del Rio. I realize he got hurt and all that but he’s been back a while now and we’ve all had enough of the AJ, Big E storyline. Now that Cena’s going to be away for a while it’s even all the more reason/and time they have to be building Dolph’s charcter. Dolph should be back to feuding with Del Rio and they should move Big E on to feuding with someone else (namely Mark Henry.) I would argue Dolph has as much in ring talent and charisma as any of the big names. I think Punk, Bryan, and Dolph have the most in ring talent of the big names and Punk’s gotten his push and continues to, Bryan’s in the middle of his push, and they have Dolph jacking around with AJ, Big E, and Katlyn. The time to push Dolph is NOW, he’s waited long enough!

  • Mrs. Ambrose

He probley will get another title shot down the line

    • Macho Man

Down the line! WTF the guys been waiting forever! Then when they did give him the World Heavy Weight Title they took it off of him as quick as they gave it to him! Not much of a reward for a guy who is regarded by his peers(who would no more than any of us)as one of the hardest working guys in WWE! He’s got charisma, talent, looks, mic skills and can take hellacious bumps in the ring. WWE could make him this generations RicFlair/Shawn Michaels if they wanted to, but time keeps ticking away. He’s been a good little soldier for a long time now. It’s time for him to get his due! I’d be beyond frustrated if I was him!

      • Mrs. Ambrose

The championship scene is pretty tied up

        • Macho Man

Yeah, it’s tied up with the same people it’s always tied up with (Cena, Orton, Del Rio). Get some new blood in there and put some more talents over like Ziggler, Barret, Ryback.

          • Chelsii?

Ryback? Ew, his ‘feud’ with Cena was probably the most boring one this year. He clearly isn’t ready.

          • Macho Man

I’m not a fan of Ryback at all but my point is get some new players in their.

          • Mrs. Ambrose

I get your point but the management or creative does not feel the same way

          • Macho Man

Yeah and WWE creative has never been wrong!(Sarcasm)

          • Mrs. Ambrose

Well in some cases WWE creative has had their issues all i am saying is they going to put whoever they want to put in the championship matchyes

          • Macho Man

Your right so what’s the point of telling the talent to “step up”? You can “step up” all you want if they(WWE) don’t want to give you a push it’s not going to happen. Unless it’s forced on them like Daniel Bryan’s current push. The WWE universe eats up his YES, NO chants and the WWE managment would have to be deaf, blind and dumb to not push him right now! Don’t get me wrong he’s a great in ring wrestler and has put in his time and deserves the push. I’m just using him as an example of someone who’s overwelming fan support made WWE have to push him rather they wanted to or not.

          • Mrs. Ambrose

Your right about Daniel Bryan and i think that he deserves the push and i think that he is the top face right now
