With Brock Lesnar’s WWE contract up right after WrestleMania, he will likely be looking for a bump in money to re-sign. It’s up to the WWE, but Lesnar does seem like the best investment. Since returning about five year ago, here are Lesnar’s greatest moments.
Brock Lesnar has accomplished quite a bit in WWE, but nothing will ever top defeating Undertaker at WrestleMania. Ending The Streak is the biggest moment wrestling had since the late 1990s. It’s been compared to the Montreal Screwjob or Bruno Sammartino losing the title at Madison Square Garden. What makes this feat so fascinating is only two people have pinned Undertaker at WrestleMania and Lesnar will always be the first. [Image: Photo via WWE.com] After defeating the Undertaker, the next logical step was for Brock Lesnar to challenge for the WWE Championship. He met John Cena in the main event of SummerSlam and easily defeated WWE’s biggest star. After 16 suplexes and a few F5s, Lesnar got the pin. I can’t think of anyone who ever made Cena look like the jobber in a match. “The Beast” was now running the show. He cost Lesnar the title and the next night on RAW, Undertaker confronted Paul Heyman in the ring. Lesnar would sprint out and all hell broke loose as they battled around the ring and backstage. Security was no help and the entire roster could barely keep them separated. The segment must have run 40 minutes and it was the best moment of the week. It felt like the two actually hated each other and were out for blood. [Image: Photo via WWE.com] Brock Lesnar and CM Punk are the only WWE wrestlers to ever work for the UFC. Though, Lesnar was able to work with the UFC while still under contract to WWE. A month before SummerSlam and UFC 200 got a major addition with Lesnar vs. Mark Hunt. We would see Lesnar’s unanimous decision win later overturned due to PEDs in his system, but for a moment it felt like Lesnar was atop wresting and MMA. The next month, Lesnar destroyed a returning Randy Orton in the main event of SummerSlam. [Image: Photo via UFC.com] Goldberg was booked in WCW and WWE has nearly unstoppable. All of his losses came thanks to outside interference or some sort of dirty tactic. Brock Lesnar might have needed a third chance to defeat Goldberg, but he did so at WrestleMania, won the Universal Championship and became the first person to get a clean pin fall victory. It’s another piece of history that Lesnar made and can’t be duplicated. [Image: Photo via WWE.com]
