Clash Of Champions is this Sunday and the WWE looks to have some, if not all, of the card complete. This is the time when we use our own knowledge of wrestling to predict some outcomes. Here are 5 things that will should by the time Clash Of Champions concludes.
Expect lots of confusion in the tag team match featuring Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. Most of the issues will come from the referees and look for Owens & Zayn to capitalize by scoring the win. Afterwards, don’t be surprised if Orton cannot take anymore of the problems between Daniel Bryan and Shane McMahon. Since I don’t know if Bryan will be allowed to take any bumps, have Shane eat an RKO. While you are at it, let Orton deliver a few to Owens & Zayn.
The Bludgeon Brothers Crush The Ascension
It’s Breezango vs. The Bludgeon Brothers at Clash of Champions, but something tells me The Ascension will make an appearance. Throughout the year, Breezango has gotten over with their Fashion Police angle and they have also helped The Ascension find some sort of role after floating around the main roster for years. The Bludgeon Brothers get the win and will look to end Breezango using their sledgehammers. So, The Ascension try to make the save. Either The Bludgeon Brothers retreat and they wrestle on SmackDown, or the heels leave everyone on the canvas. I’m leaning more towards the second scenario happening.
As of now, there are seven matches confirmed for the pay per view and we already know Zack Ryder vs. Mojo Rawley will be on the pre-show. At the very least, WWE is going to add one match and I would not be surprised if they went with two. Hopefully, Ryder vs. Mojo can get bumped to the main card as some late additions are made. I can see Mike Kanellis and Sin Cara being adequate as a teaser. If WWE doesn’t book any other matches, I would imagine they call it a night and conclude 25 minutes early.
Close With Tag Team Match
Most people would think the WWE Championship closes the show and that typically makes sense. The only issue is that we’ve already seen AJ Styles vs. Jinder Mahal and it does not seem that another installment will be any better. I would say the stronger match is Randy Orton & Shinsuke Nakamura vs. Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn. On paper, the match simply looks better as it features four of SmackDown’s best workers. Then there is the whole angle with Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan. WWE needs to end their 2017 pay per views with a moment that will leave fans talking and I don’t see that happening with Styles – Mahal.
Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable And Rusev & Aiden English Have Impressed
For most of the year, The Usos and New Day have helped SmackDown’s tag team division. I have to give credit to The Usos for keeping interest alive and they should probably keep the belts for at least another month. Still, Shelton Benjamin & Chad Gable have been teaming for months and are slowly getting over. At the same time, Rusev & Aiden English were randomly paired and it has worked. I wouldn’t mind if either of those teams were given a chance with the titles. At least the tag teams on SmackDown are keeping things interesting.
