More from Wrestle Newz

Show opens up and Tag Champs Seth Rollins and Jason Jordan are in the ring with Intercontinental Champion Roman Reigns. Jordan says to Rollins and Reigns that they shouyld be the Champion’s Club, insisting that together they could be the most dominant force in sports entertainment. Then Finn Ball, Luke Gallows and Karl Anderson come out. Balor breaks it to Jordan that he’s not part of the most dominant force in WWE. Gallows explains that Balor was the first-ever Universal Champion. They do a “Too Sweet” to that.

The Club makes their way down to the ring and continue cutting a promo on them. They drop a couple more dimes and then Gallows belts out that they’re a bunch of NERDS! Jordan takes exception to this and some pushing and shoving ensues. Raw General Manager Kurt Angle enters and says that the main event of tonight’s show will be a 6-man tag match involving everyone in the ring. Oh it’s true, it’s damn true.

Women’s Tag Team Match: Mandy Rose & Sonya Deville vs. Bayley & Sasha Banks

Paige accompanies Rose & Deville and Mickie James accompanies Banks & Bayley. Bell sounds and Rose takes it to Bayley. Rose drives Bayley back into the corner but then Bayley spins her around and lands some shots of her own. Rose quickly regains control, scoops slams Bayley and pins her for a 2-count. Rose slaps on an arm submission now. Bayley tries to fight to her feet but Rose throws her right back down again. Finally, Bayley gets some separation and goes on the attack.

Bayley levels Rose with a shot and then hits her with an overhead throw. Rose slides out of the ring, huffing and puffing at ringside as she regroups with her team. Commercial break.

Back again and Rose and Banks are trading moves and counters. Sasha lands double-knees and gets a 2-count. They get to their feet and Rose fires back with some big punches. She has Banks on her knees and starts taunting her. Banks slaps her across the face and tries to attack her. Rose is able to counter her and maintain control. Deville tags in now and she lands repeated shots on Banks in the corner. Then she hits a snap mare and puts Banks in a body-lock. Deville ends up battering Banks with blows and talking smack at her all the while.

Rose tags in again and picks up the offense, choking Banks on the ring rope. Rose & Deville cut off the ring, cycling tags and pressing the attack. Then Deville goes for an Irish whip and Banks hits a kick. Then they collide and both women are down. Banks almost gets a tag but gets foiled. As Bayley is arguing with the ref, Paige interferes and hits Banks from the outside. Rose moves in and Banks hits a small package for a 2-count. Banks ends up rolling Rose into the Bank Statement and forces her to tap out.

Winners: Bayley & Sasha Banks

Singles Match: Woken Matt hardy vs. Curt Hawkins

Woken Matt makes his entrance, complete with a rendition of his piano theme music from IMPACT. Bell sounds and Matt starts putting a beating on Hawkins. Matt uses a funny style that the commentators says is “like some primal style.” Matt runs at Hawkins in the corner but catches an elbow. Hawkins tries to come back but Matt regains control, bashing Hawkins’ head off the turnbuckle and yelling “Delete” each time. Matt nails Hawkins with the Twist Of Fate for the 3-count.

Winner: Woken Matt Hardy

After the match while Matt is celebrating, Bray Wyatt’s graphics come on the screen and the lights go out. When the lights return, Bray is standing in the ring with Matt. They stand there in the tension for a moment and then Matt starts doing his silly laugh. He builds it up as Bray then starts to laugh hysterically as well. They stare at each other in a sort of laugh off that goes on for a while. Then Bray’s graphic flashes again and it goes dark.

Elias is in the ring and he plays a little guitar riff for the audience. As he finishes, the crowd cheers and he says that was good. Then he asks, who wants to walk with Elias? Then he says he’s got a song to play that’s from the heart. Then he starts singing about Elvis Presley and the crowd boos. He asks, what’s wrong with Elvis? He keeps playing the song. And, he keeps playing some more and then suddenly welcomes The Miz, who makes his entrance with the Miztourage in toe.

Miz has a snazzy new hairdo and he asks if everyone missed him. He says he knows he’s the glue that holds the show together and that he most certainly has been. But there are two guys who held it down in his absence and those two are Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel. Those two are the living embodiment of a New Years resolution done right. Axel tells Miz it has been the best year of his life. Dallas, through half sobs, thanks Miz profusely for all he’s done for them. And that’s why he got Miz this: a framed photo of himself. Then Axel, seemingly not wanting to be upstaged but having brought nothing to give, gives Miz his own blazer.

Dallas tries to up the ante and Axel offers the shoes off his feet before Miz tells them both to stop it and be quiet. Miz cuts a promo about all his accomplishments and accolades. He was the Rolling Stone WWE Athlete Of The Year. And despite all those things, he still hasn’t forgotten about something that happened a while back… He shows a replay of The Shield beating the hell out of him right before his time off. In 2018, Miz will celebrate the birth of his daughter and he will become the greatest Intercontinental Champion of all time. He let’s champ Roman Reigns know that he’s coming for him and he can believe that. Miz drops the mic and leaves.
