Here is last night’s Raw in a Nutshell.

Monday Night Raw: 8 pm EST

Show opens up and John Cena comes out to the ring. He jumps on the mic and says that the energy on the Road to WrestleMania is electric. Viewers around the world, wherever they are, we all know what WrestleMania means. Mania can make a superstar’s career. It can bring a legend back from the dead. It can be the most important moment in a WWE superstar’s life. And as things unfold leading up to it, we will find out which superstars will get to make their moment.

But Cena has to level with everyone. In two weeks, Cena must win the Elimination Chamber match. If he doesn’t, he’s not sure he has a Road to WrestleMania. Cena says he must win the most unwinnable match in order to get a chance to beat the unbeatable Universal Champion Brock Lesnar. But Cena has made a career out of making the impossible possible. Cena vows that he WILL win the Elimination Chamber match and he will defeat Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania for the Universal Title.

Intercontinental Champion The Miz’s music hits and he comes out with the Miztourage. Miz tells Cena it isn’t 2013. It’s 2018 and it’s the year of The Miz. Maybe Cena has spent too much time in the fantasy land of Hollywood and he doesn’t realize what’s going on here. Miz says Cena was literally the founding father of Suplex City. Miz says that he’s the only one who has a chance against Brock Lesnar. Cena says that he just saw someone in the front row laughing at that comment.

Cena says Miz’s only chance is if Lesnar misses his flight or something like that. Miz retorts that he’ll use a gift that Cena doesn’t have; he’ll use his brain. He’ll think. Miz does things that other people don’t think of and that’s how he beat Roman Reigns for the IC Title and that’s how he’ll beat Lesnar at WrestleMania. Cena says that Miz still has to win the Elimination Chamber. But Cena is impressed that Miz somehow manages to eke out victories despite the odds.

Cena challenges Miz to a match where the loser has to enter the Chamber match first. Miz scoffs at this and then the Miztourage attacks Cena. They leave Cena laid out and Miz accepts the challenge. He calls for a ref but then Raw General Manager Kurt Angle comes out. Angles says he likes the idea and the match is official. But the Miztourage is banned from ringside.

Loser Enters Elimination Chamber First: The Miz vs. John Cena

The bell rings and Miz pins right away but Cena kicks out. Miz continues to beat down the already beaten down Cena as it cuts to commercial.

Back again and Miz knocks Cena off the apron to the floor. The ref starts to count and Miz rolls out and goes after Cena. Miz throws Cena into the barricade and then tosses him back in the ring. Miz goes to the top rope and lands an axe-handle on Cena for a 2-count. Miz starts to work on Cena’s leg but Cena manages to counter with a somehow legal groin shot. Cena goes on the offensive now.

Cena lands a dropkick and then a suplex for a 2-count. Miz fires back and lands some knees to Cena’s gut. Then Miz delivers some kicks to Cena’s head. He backs Cena into the corner and lands some body shots. He charges in but Cena counters with an elbow and spikes Miz with a tornado DDT for a near-fall. Irish whip and Miz gets a sleeper hold and Cena goes to his knees.

Cena starts to stand back up and Miz jumps up on his back and Cena slowly crumbles back to the mat. Miz grimaces as he holds tight round Cena’s neck. The ref asks Cena if he wants out and Cena lethargically say ‘no’. Commercial break.

Back again and Miz evades an Attitude Adjustment and locks on the Figure-4. He’s got in locked in the middle of the ring. Cena manages to power out of it and puts Miz in the STF. Miz drags himself to the bottom rope and forces the break. Miz rolls to the apron. Cena goes after him and Miz hangs him on the top rope. Miz leaps off the top rope with a cross-body but Cena catches him and throws him on his shoulders for the AA.

Miz slides off and spikes Cena with a DDT for a near-fall. Cena stumbles into the corner and Miz runs and connects with a jumping kick. Cena stumbles to the other corner and Miz charges in again. Cena explodes and hits Miz with an AA. He pins. 1-2-… but Miz barely gets his shoulder up. Cena has a look of disbelief on his face. Cena goes to the top rope but Miz hits the ropes and Cena crotches himself and falls to the mat.

Miz jumps on him and applies the Figure-4. Cena fights it and grabs hold of Miz’s fingers, using some small-joint manipulation. Cena maneuvers into an STF again. Miz fights it and gets to the rope to break the hold. As they get to their feet, they scramble. Miz suddenly hits Cena with the Skull-Crushing Finale. He pins. 1-2-… but Cena barely gets his shoulder up. Both men sell and Miz looks positively forlorn.

Miz sets Cena up on the top rope. Miz goes up with him and starts setting up a Skull-Crushing Finale off the top. Cena counters and gets Miz up for an AA off the top. He delivers it and pins for the 3-count. The Miz will enter the Elimination Chamber match first.

Winner: John Cena

Woken Matt Hardy cuts a promo ahead of his second-chance Fatal 4-Way match tonight. He says the other VESSELS don’t even know that there second-chance is already OVAH! He will turn the Elimination Chamber into the DELETE Chamber! He repeats the word: “Delete! Delete! Delete!” and the crowd joins him, making the hand signal each time as it cuts to commercial.

Tag Team Match: Luke Gallows & Karl Anderson vs. The Revival

As Anderson & Gallows are entering, The Revival ambush them from behind, taking out their legs. Dash Wilder & Scott Dawson jump up into the ring and await their opponents recovery. Anderson & Gallows finally get in the ring and things get underway. Gallows unloads on Dawson, landing vicious shots and then he charges over to knock Wilder off the apron. Gallows grabs Dawson and chucks him across the ring. He lands a punching combo in the corner and then levels Dawson with a big boot.

Wilder runs in to help his partner but he is summarily thrown out of the ring and Anderson goes after him. Dawson manages to find an opening and he chop-blocks Gallows, who goes down clutching his leg again as it cuts to commercial.

Back again and Wilder is sadistically wrenching on Gallows’ leg. Dawson tags in and jumps off the top rope but Gallows clocks him with a kick. Anderson tags in and comes in hot. He clobbers The Revival left and right. He hops to the top rope and hits a blockbuster on Dawson. Gallows drags Dawson out of the ring but Dawson hits a drop toehold and Gallows hits the steel steps.

In the ring and Anderson hits a spinebuster for a 2-count. Anderson ends up with his hands full, fending off both Revival members, until he gets hit with the Shatter Machine for the pinfall.

Winners: The Revival
