WrestleMania 33 is this Sunday and the WWE looks to have most, if not all, of the card booked. This is the time when we use our own knowledge of wrestling to predict some outcomes. Here are 5 things that should happen by the time WrestleMania 33 concludes.
WrestleNewz will have WrestleMania 33 play by play coverage this Sunday at 5 pm EST.
AJ Styles spent around six months as WWE Champion. He dropped the title inside Elimination Chamber and is yet to receive a rematch. Instead of tossing Styles into the Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton match, WWE is making him face Shane McMahon. I don’t understand why Shane needs this match when there are plenty of wrestlers who deserve better than a spot in the Andre The Giant Battle Royal. If the cruiserweight division is something Vince McMahon cares about, he’s handling it all wrong going into WrestleMania. There’s no reason Neville vs. Austin Aries should be on the pre-show. With its current position, it shows how little WWE cares about the title or division. Plus, most of the fans won’t see the match if they decide to skip the two hour pre-show. The dirt sheets are saying The Hardy Boys returning to WWE is only a matter of time. I figured WWE would wait until after WrestleMania, but the ladder stipulation that was added to the RAW tag team title match has me second guessing. Somewhere in the past week, WWE signed Matt and Jeff to new contracts; hence the reason for the late change in the tag match. They might get the biggest pop of night. Not many want to see Goldberg and Brock Lesnar close WrestleMania. So, that doesn’t lead too many options for a replacement. The top choices seem to be Undertaker vs. Roman Reigns or Bray Wyatt vs. Randy Orton. I see nothing in the Wyatt-Orton angle as it’s been done before. I’d rather see Undertaker taking on Reigns with “The Deadman” retiring at the end. There isn’t much competition in this year’s Andre The Giant Battle Royal. Dolph Ziggler, Big Show, Sami Zayn and Braun Strowman have to be the favorites. Big Sow could win again if he’s about to retire. Though, I have Sami and Braun as the final two. It seems like WWE will go with Braun, but Sami has really stepped up his game thanks to Mick Foley and he might deserve the win over any of the other entrants.
