Pre-Show

WWE changing things up tonight with a red Hell in a Cell.

Seth Rollins would love to add a tag team title to go with the Intercontinental Championship. And then there’s Dean Ambrose, looking like his lunatic self.

SmackDown Tag Team Championship: New Day vs. Rusev & Aiden English with Lana

Little fun on the mic between New Day and Aiden English as we prepare for Rusev Day. Aiden English somehow survives a top rope power bomb, double-stomp by New Day. At one point, English looks for the tag but Rusev is down; so, he locks the accolade on Kofi Kingston. Trouble in paradise by Kofi and New Day keep the belts.

Winners: New Day to remain SmackDown Tag Team Champion

Mick Foley already has his black and white stripes on. He’s probably been wearing that shirt for days.

Main Card

Hell in a Cell Match: Jeff Hardy vs. Randy Orton

Randy Orton doesn’t waste time. Of course, we see a table, ladder and chair get introduced. At one point, Orton drops Hardy across an upside-down ladder that breaks the support. He starts choking Hardy using the rungs of the ladder. Orton gets a screwdriver in Hardy’s ear hole and twist it in a stomach turning maneuver. Hardy lays a chair on Orton and lands a swanton bomb, but only gets a two count. Hardy puts Orton on a table and climbs the ladder. He gets to the top and grabs the Cell. Hardy swings from 20 feet in the air and crashes through an empty table as Orton moved several seconds early. The referee instantly calls for help, but Orton makes him count to three. Hardy is taken out on a stretcher.

Winner: Randy Orton

SmackDown Women’s Championship: Charlotte Flair vs. Becky Lynch

Both get a mixed reaction with Becky possibly being more over. Charlotte work on the leg with Becky focusing on the arm. A beautiful moonsault by Charlotte misses the mark. They start swinging fists, with Becky getting the better and the crowd seems to now have her support. Charlotte goes for the spear and Becky turns it into DDT type pin. That’s enough for a three count and Becky Lynch is champion!

Winner: Becky Lynch to become the new SmackDown Women’s Champion

Charlotte extends her hand and Becky tells her off before raising the title over her head.

We learn Jeff Hardy has been sent to the hospital.
