Neville was finally granted a released from his contract this past week, making him officially a free agent. It’s about time one of the most talented wrestlers in the world gets back at it. The reason it took so long to be granted a release is because WWE was making an example out of Neville. According to the Wrestling Observer, WWE did not want to see a precedent whereby talents could simply skip out on contracts and wrestle anywhere they want. They froze Neville’s contract for a year just to make him feel the sting of breaking off his commitment to them.

No word yet on where Neville is going to end up. It was thought he’d end up in New Japan Pro Wrestling but Ring Of Honor also has exclusive contracts with massive indy stars like The Young Bucks and Cody Rhodes. There is also speculation that Neville might be at this weekend’s ‘All In’ show but that is not confirmed.
