– The Authors of Pain were part of a handful of NXT names to join the main roster following WrestleMania 34. But, they have only wrestled twice on RAW since debuting in April; making quick work of their opponents.
Apparently, one of the members was dealing with a visa issue. The problem is now solved, but with no current storyline WWE is keeping them off TV. RAW’s tag division is currently being centered around champions Matt Hardy & Bray Wyatt, The B-Team (Curtis Axel & Dallas) and Dolph Ziggler & Drew McIntyre.
When The Authors of Pain return to TV, WWE still plans on pushing the former NXT Tag Team Champions.
– For now, Eli Drake will remain with Impact Wrestling. The former World Champion signed another short-term contract extension, which will run until the end of July according to the Wrestling Observer Newsletter.
Since Drake hadn’t re-signed during the last set of tapings, he was not written into the Slammiversary pay per view. The promotion could always add him through taped segments.
As for WWE, they showed interest in brining Drake back to the company. He spent about a year in developmental before getting released and later joining Impact Wrestling.
