WWE announced officially that Brock Lesnar has re-signed with WWE and will defend his title against Roman Reigns at the Greatest Royal Rumble event in Saudi Arabia:

By most accounts, Lesnar was expected to lose the title last night but it appears WWE brass decided to listen to their fans after all. The chants of “boring” and “this is awful” during the main event appeared to be directly related to the notion that Reigns was kicking out of all of Lesnar’s F-5s. A hunch would be that people were dismayed by the anticipated anti-climax of Reigns winning after people had been expecting that for the last year. When Lesnar finally got the 3-count, there was a definite pop of a more positive kind. Prior to that it was shaping up to be the kind of situation where tomatoes and heads of lettuce start flying in from the audience. And if Reigns won, that, or something like it, was a distinct possibility.
PWInsider has confirmed the identity of Braun Strowman’s “random” tag partner chosen from the audience last night. The 10-year-old Nicholas is actually WWE referee John Cone’s son.
PWI says that Nicholas received a nice ovation at WWE’s hotel in New Orleans this morning. Now let’s try not to cringe too much while the WWE writers try and write their way out of this corner they’ve got themselves into…
